How about some jobs! Maybe that would help out on crime. A lot of people robbing banks and stores now a days look more like the average joe , instead of drug users and dope heads. Still going to have crime but maybe not as much if people could pay there bills.
It is beyond the capacity of the City to create jobs -- tell it to the State of Maryland and the Feds, which are the ones that have caused our malaise.
Anon 11:47 I know the answer to your questions. They are buying new fire boats, hazmat trucks and trailers, renovating properties that the owners donate because they don't want the expense of doing the environmental cleanup, spending money on job training for ex cons, giving money away to developers, waiving impact fees for developers, etc. They are doing everything except what the people want them to do.

WHy is it beyond the city to create jobs, they dont do anything else.
They dont even prevent crime, so what the hell are they doing?

yes, we need jobs, but the people robbing banks and stores aren't feeding their families, they are feeding their crack habits and blaming the economy.
