On November 4, 2009, the Ocean City Police Narcotics Unit concluded a two month
drug distribution investigation with the arrests of Deshawn Cornelius Handy, 26-yearsold and Benny Marion Mullins, Jr., 31-years-old, both of Selbyville, Delaware.
During the investigation, an undercover OCPD detective was able to purchase crack cocaine from Handy on two separate occasions.
Ocean City Police served a search and seizure warrant on Handy’s person and a
vehicle Handy was occupying. Handy was taken into custody without incident. The
vehicle was also seized during the investigation and is pending forfeiture.
Handy was charged with the following:
• Two counts of Distribution of Controlled Dangerous
Substance(Crack Cocaine)(Felony)
• One count of Distribution of Non-Controlled substance
(Felony)
• Two counts of Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance
(Crack Cocaine)
Mullins Jr., was charged with the following:
• Conspiracy to Distribute CDS (Crack Cocaine)(Felony)
Handy and Mullins, Jr. were both seen by an Ocean City District
Court Commissioner. Handy was held on $10,000 bond and transferred to the Worcester County Jail. Mullins, Jr. was released after posting a $5000 bond.

I'm a white man and I think the white guy is a big loser and should pay for his crime. Now on the other hand I would say the same about the black guy, but I would be a racist if I did that, so I think he should be given Government health care and housing, so he will not have to do things like this anymore.

I think you all are very insensitive. You have no idea how these men's lives are. You don't even know them. You have no idea how these men's familys feel. To call him loser and dumb is ignorant. You don't know them at all.

I happen to know Benny. He is actually very smart, has a heart of gold, & works very hard. His family loves him very much. This is a person who need positve encouragement not negative criticism. LET GO OF JUDGEMENT !!!
Just beacuse he got caught with stuff doesnt mean hes a bad person ive actually had the privlage of meeting benny and hes a sweat heart just got caught up in some shit

Benny is one of the best people I know. He works so hard and he really does have a heart of gold. It's unfortunate what happened to him. I'll always love Benny he's one of a kind!
Benny is my family and if any of you have anything bad to say about him ever you're no better then anyone. He's an amazing person, always has tried his best, always has been an honest loving person so shut up. His family cares deeply for him and it's wrong to judge people. I love Benny<3
