OCPD LOCATE CHILD PORNOGRPHY SUSPECT FROM WEST VIRGINIA


On Saturday, October 31, 2009, Ocean City Police received a look-out from the West Virginia State Police in regards to a wanted suspect. The suspect, Roger Stotler, 45-years-old of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was wanted for possession of child pornography and sexual assault of a minor.

Ocean City Police’s proactive patrol officers were able to locate the vehicle that matched the description from West Virginia State Police.

The vehicle, which was unoccupied, was parked in the area of 112th Street and Coastal Highway.

Officers continued to search through the area and were able to locate Stotler walking on Coastal Highway. Stotler was arrested.

Stotler was seen by and Ocean City District Court Commissioner and was held without
bond. He was transferred to the Worcester County Jail were he is awaiting extradition
to West Virginia.
