Incident: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Date of Incident: 13 September 2009
Location: Crown Road, Fruitland, MD
Suspect: Ransom William Luffman, 46, Eden, MD
Narrative: On 13 September 2009 at 11:05 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped Ransom Luffman for driving twenty miles an hour over the posted speed limit on Crown Road in Fruitland, MD. Upon making contact with Luffman, the deputy began to believe that Luffman was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Even though Luffman denied consuming alcohol, the deputy administered Field Sobriety Tests. When Luffman was unable to perform he tests satisfactorily, the deputy placed him under arrest for DUI.
The deputy also discovered that Luffman’s Maryland Driver’s license was both suspended and revoked.
The deputy transported Luffman to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Luffman was detained by the Commissioner in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.

Date of Incident: 13 September 2009
Location: 1000 block of Kiowa Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Shawn R. Simon, 20, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 13 September 2009 at 3:13 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a subject refusing to leave a property in the 1000 block of Kiowa Avenue. Upon meeting with the complainant, the deputy discovered a subject, Shawn Simon, sleeping in the back seat of the complainant’s vehicle. The complainant advised that prior to getting inside the vehicle, the complainant told Simon to leave the property.
The deputy placed Simon under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Simon was detained by the Commissioner in the Detention Center in lieu of $3,000.00 bond.

Date of Incident: 13 September 2009
Location: 1000 block of Maple Street, Delmar, MD
Suspect: Male Juvenile, 16 YOA, Delmar, MD
Narrative: On 13 September 2009 at 9:00 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate al altercation that had occurred inside a residence in the 1000 block of Maple Street in Delmar, MD. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a parent who advised that her 16 YOA son became verbally belligerent towards other family members before striking a sibling in the face. During the investigation, the deputy observed an injury to the face of the sibling consistent with this account.
The deputy placed the 16 YOA juvenile under arrest for the assault. Upon completing a referral for charges that will be sent to the Department of Juvenile Services, the deputy released the juvenile to a parent. Formal Court action through the Department of Juvenile Services will be pending.

Incident: Malicious Destruction of Property
Date of Incident: 11 September 2009
Location: 400 Prince Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: 1. Male Juvenile, 9 YOA, Salisbury, MD
2. Male Juvenile, 10 YOA, Salisbury, MD
3. Male Juvenile, 9 YOA, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 11 September 2009 at 7:12 PM, a deputy responded to Prince Street Elementary School for the report of juvenile spray painting the playground equipment. Upon arrival the deputy observed red paint on the basketball court, playground and light poles. During the investigation, the deputy identified three possible juvenile suspects. One was located at a nearby residence. When speaking to the juvenile, the deputy observed red paint on his hands. The two individuals were also identified and all three were charged on a juvenile referral by the deputy.
All three were released to parents pending formal court action by the Department of Juvenile Services.

I guess those kids were caught red-handed. Prince Street is beautiful new school and the local punks have to destroy it.
