Last Friday we posted THIS ARTICLE as a poll to determine YOUR choice, furlough or pay reduction.
The article brought in 84 comments and this doesn't include the other two articles we produced that same day. I did send links to all three articles to Rick Pollitt and clearly your voices were heard.
On Tuesday the County Council voted to TABLE their decision to leave room for more discussion on the matter and quite frankly Folks, TOGETHER we are making a difference.
When others talk about influence, well, we post it, you comment on it, the politicians are clearly listening and together, (all of us) make far better educated decisions.
I'm glad we ALL finally have a place to be heard and I can only hope you continue to get involved so again, together, we can all make a positive difference. Congratulations Wicomico County Employees.

Is this the same council that purchased land from D. Coffin. The ring leader of voice. Say it aint so.
The same council that allowed a contractual employee to buy into the county retirement system. I hear they allowed the county attorney to buy into the system. Did he work exclusively for Wicomico County in the years he was allowed to buy back ?? The answer to that one is no.
18506 that is the number this current council needs to remember. That is the number of votes cast for question "A". That is the number of voters the council chose to ignore. They have done an awesome job of ignoring the will of the people. It will not be forgotten or swept under the rug.
This is by far the most arrogant council I have witnessed in many years. At the polls we will see just how great a job you have done.
I wouldnt pat myself on the back to hard just yet. The truth is coming out and I know for a fact there are those recuiting people to run against four of you at this very moment. 18,506 vaters cant be wrong. One way or another the council should have found a way to make this right.
And why does the new county attorney need an assist.? More expence.
The longer we wait, the more we are going to have to "pay" whether in pay cuts or furloughs...
