Patients First Health Care Summit TONIGHT In Salisbury To Discuss Patients’ Rights

Experts from around the state, and country to talk about recent Congressional proposals

SALISBURY
- As details of the government-centered health care reform proposals are being revealed, Patients First is giving citizens on the Lower Shore a voice to speak out against this Washington takeover of healthcare at a summit tonight at Salisbury University hosted by Americans for Prosperity. The event is free, open to the public and starts promptly at 6pm.

“Americans don’t want the government to come between them and their doctor,” said Dave Schwartz, state director of AFP-Maryland. “Taxpayers are also wary of the price tag of such proposals. This event will serve as an educational forum for citizens to understand what is happening right now in Washington.”

Speakers include Dr. Michael Gloth (gerontologist from Johns Hopkins), Marc Kilmer (fellow at the Maryland Public Policy Institute), Richard Carey (CEO of Carey Distributors, Inc.) and Amy Menefee (Americans for Prosperity). Each speaker is an expert in their respective fields. The crowd will have a chance to participate in the open Q&A session in the last hour of the event.

Attendees can sign the Hands Off My Health Care online petition at http://www.joinpatientsfirst.com urging lawmakers to oppose any legislation that imposes greater government control over health care and results in less choice for patients.

Is this a far-right attempt to squash healthcare reform? Just askin'.

AFP is not affiliated with any party. What makes it so special is it, (as a whole) is open to Democrats, Republicans and Indipendents.

If any one of you believe that ALL Democrats, (for example) are for this healthcare reform, you're absolutely nuts.

Please come to tonights meeting and see what they have to offer. Everyone is welcome.

What is Frank Kratovil's position on the health care reform bill? I can't find any information on his website except his recent success on passing a bill to help protect waterfowl...good grief.

Is Frank going to vote with the San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi again?

Kratovil will do whatever the leaders of his party say to do.

This summit is about educating people with the truth. the problem is, our politicians do not care what we think or want, for the most part anyway. We are not being represented at all in DC!

Well said Joe.

Yes Frank IS going to vote FOR healthcare, UNLESS you come tonight to tell him how you feel!

Everyone has been waking up to how congress is running our lives through spending our money!

Enough is enough and everyone needs to tell Congress to slow down!

Frank is going to vote for what he is TOLD to vote for. How many people called about cap and Trade, and he still voted for it. He is unfit to represent the Eastern Shore!

WTF is the hurry to rush this legislation through? Obama spent 6 MONTHS deciding on what kind of DOG to get but wants to completely upheave our nations health care system in 2 weeks? HIS ADMINISTRATION IS CORRUPT. Face it Democrats, you were hoodwinked and bamboozled by a slick talking Chicago thug.
