Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 22 July 2009
Location: 5600 block of Anchor Place, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Peter John Gerardo, 48, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 22 July 2009 at 1:51 PM, a deputy responded to a residence in the 5600 block of Anchor Place for a reported assault with a handgun. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that the couple who reside there were in the rear of their residence when their neighbor Peter John Gerardo came into their yard and confronted them while brandishing a handgun. The victims stated that Gerardo complained about the level of music being played and after the exchange of some words Gerardo produced a handgun from his pocket and pointed it at the victims. The residentsimmediately summoned the Sheriff’s Office and Gerardo left their property.

During the investigation, Gerardo was unable to be located. The deputy applied for and received
a warrant for Gerardo’s arrest. At approximately 7:00 PM the deputy returned to Gerardo’s
residence and placed him under arrest. Gerardo was transported to the Central Booking Unit
where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial
appearance, Gerardo was detained in the Detention Center in lieu of $200,000.00 bond.

Incident: Theft
Date of Incident: 21 July 2009
Location: 1100 block of West Road, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Male Juvenile, 17, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 21 July 2009 at 9:44 AM, a deputy from the WCSO responded and met with a resident in the 1100 block of West Road who reported the theft of a mini-bike from his yard. While taking the report, the victim observed that a juvenile drove by the residence while operating the victim’s mini-bike. The deputy stopped the juvenile and the mini bike was positively identified as belonging to the victim.
The deputy completed a referral to the Department of Juvenile Services requesting for charges to be levied against the juvenile for theft. The deputy released the juvenile to a parent pending formal court action.
