I heard about this on my scanner. They said one was shot in the back. Supposedly a home invasion. This area just seems to get worse and worse. Is no one safe?
I think less people on the streets would deter the violence some we all know it's gang related Joe if you make living here a pain in the a$$ maybe they will move on.
The only thing a "curfew" will do is force the criminals to rob and kill people earlier in the day.
I dont know the answer to problem. I remember when I was young and Salisbury was a place where you felt safe and never worried about this type of thing. Now you are scared to be in your home, stop for gas, stop at an ATM....
I hope they catch them but when is the question. Ted Shea was shot how many months ago and still no resolution?? Unbelievable.
The ACLU will sue the pants off of anyone who tries to pass a curfew. Salisbury talked about it many years ago, and the ACLU came in and said, "Don't even think about it." You can't tell adults when they can leave their house and go out.
Do you have evidence that a curfew won't work or is that just your opinion ? I think that if police can stop and check you because a curfew is in place they might think twice as for day time robberies the police would have a better chance of nabbing them as more people are around and could get a description or a tag number.
No one else will say it but I know all of you are thinking it: the only way you are going to stop it is to start shooting the bad guys or getting an armed version of the Guardian Angels to patrol the 'hoods'. Un-huh , didn't think you would PUBLICALLY agree but you DID think it, didn't you?
Fruitland has its share of crime ghetto areas too-start popping people for minor quality of life offenses like open containers and littering and eventually you will catch a bigger fish..
These people are good friends of mine an they are not gang related at all they are just 2 people who work hard to earn their money and take care of their family. that man helps anyone he can and look what he gets for actually living his life right. I wish people would not speak unless they know what they are talking about. I just praise GOD that they made it through this alive and that the kids are okay. I pray that the people who did this will be found immediately.
The curfew would also protect the innocent people by keeping them someplace safe like home. The government won't protect us or allow us to protect ourselves.
5:15 Seems to me that "home" isnt all that safe around here. There really isnt a "safe" area around here. Parsonsburg has had burglaries, Fruitland has this home invasion and we all know about Salisbury's numerous armed robberies and rampant crime. I'm wondering what the positives are to living on the shore??? Seafood, the beach? All that high quality of life talk is just another shore farce. The truth will set you free.
Just my two cents worth: If you are a "been here", Deal with all the crime. This is the price you pay for progress. You let it happen when you allowed your cities to expand and development happen. There's no one to blame but yourselves. To the "come here's", Enjoy one of the reasons you probably left where your from! To all get used to it, life is so great that we made these decisions about our future Salisbury future!

I told all about the body count? You ain't seen nuttin' yet.

How many people have to die before they impose a curfew ???
anonymous 9:36, Oh, come on now. How many criminals do you think actually registered their guns? Do you actually believe a curfew will stop them?

anonymous 9:46, That is not my job. I'll repeat, a curfew will not stop criminals, just like a gun permit.
But I'd feel a lot safer with a Rugar strapped to my waist.
Daytime burlaries are a big problem. They have no fear to commit the same crimes in daylight.
Open air drug markets every 6 to 8 blocks. Crime is good here.
If I could have my weapon on my possession I know they can't steal it from my house while I'm gone!

anon 9:31 If those facts are true, lets hope the one shot in the back was the one doing the breaking and entering.

Those who would give up liberty for security deserve neither.

were a socialist society now the government can do as they please.
you mean fpd had time to investigate this instead of just stopping every vehicle that goes through there at night.
