B&B Music & Sound Held A Massive Sale This Weekend

Friday night I was driving past the B&B Music Store and noticed a tent outside. The next thing I knew a friend had called me and said, I just saw you drive by. I asked what was going on and he said he was camping out all night to get this great deal on a guitar. I returned a few minutes later because I couldn't believe what he was telling me.

When I returned he told me he was getting a $1,200.00 guitar for $200.00. However, you had to be one of the first people in line, hence his sleeping there overnight and getting on a list.

The next morning I drove by again and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the line to get in. Clearly they were making deals no one could refuse. I'm told once a year they hold these sales. It's usually held at only one of their stores in the state and this time it was Salisbury.

So tell us Chuck, did you actually land the deal that you had mentioned?

They will be gone in a month.

Sounds like a liquidation sale. They have stores in Delaware, are they bailing out of Maryland?

Rock bottom prices at internet sites like Musicians Friend/American Music Supply everyday without standing out in the rain. Test drive what you want at a local music store/jamming with friends-order with free shipping. You get a long trial period where if your axe/amps and such don't perform like you thin; put them back in the box and send them back {no harm no foul}. You wouldn't believe the selection of instruments, dj equipment, and accessories sell.

Wow, and we wonder why local business' keep going out of business. Way to go Reese Bobby, for all the local business support. I guess when we've all finally left you can just shut the city down.

I know that I'm on their mailing list and I usually get a flyer, at this very minute I'm in the market for a Marshall 4 x 12 cabinet to go with a Plexi head Ive just now finished building.
I can order a cabinet and speakers from Mojo Musical supply for the same price as a new Mashall and have a better quality cabinet, but had I known of the sale, I would have checked it out!
I guess someone else will get my money!!

Nope, didn't get the guitar I went for. The very first guy in line (waiting since Tuesday!) got that one. But I did get my second choice.

Joel. Nothing personal man...lame attempts at 'guilt trips' don't effect me at all-I work according to the bottom line; whether it be a cowbell or a car loan. And the few local shops lacked any type of "user-friendly" customer service/reasonable prices-at least IMO {or others too, believe me losing my $200 or so of business a year wasn't what doomed anybody}. It is a buyers market baby today...deal with it. {BTW: That cowbell sells for $19.99, with free ground shipping, on the internet-how much mark up could we expect locally on said item??}

I like acoustic guitars and I don't care what anyone says they are all different. I did get a real nice guitar online, expensive and had some custom work done by Denny Zager, abalone inlays and a sweet nice guitar. I have two friends that have $3500 Martins and can't believe this Martin Sigma.

About two years ago I wanted a second guitar. I must have played 20 different acoustic guitars at the pawn shop. I found two that sounded just as good. The jumbo I actually think I like it better and I bought both for half of what I paid for the custom guitar.

The one great thing about the custom guitar is that it is garunteed for life. The pawn shops have some nice acoustics, you can't go on price and looks you have to play them. It's nice to have more than one guitar for different tunings, you can just pick it up and it's ready to go.

Too true, Tim. That's why I've now got three. :)

Reese Bobby only cares about money, which is why this society has gone to crap. Maybe he'll realize that when he grows up. But, in the meantime Joel, don't waste your time trying to make him understand.
