Adult Education In Wicomico County:

Summer GED and ESL Classes, "Celebration of Adult Education" May 19

Information Sessions Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12 for Summer GED Classes in Wicomico County:

The Wicomico County Adult Learning Center will have Information Sessions for daytime GED classes for the Summer Term on Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12 from 9-10 a.m.. Summer classes are scheduled to begin in July. The Center is located at 224 Phillip Morris Drive, Suite 300 (Philmore Commons) in Salisbury. Pre-registration for these information sessions was required by May 7.

Wicomico Adult Learning Center Holds "Celebration of Adult Education" May 19:

The Wicomico Adult Learning Center holds its "Celebration of Adult Education" at 7 p.m. May 19 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1514 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury.

This annual celebration recognizes the efforts and successes of GED and External Diploma Program adult learners. Awards will be given out in the following categories: Participation in the Adult Education Program, Outstanding Attendance, Life Skills Testing (Advancing Levels in Reading and Math), Outstanding Students and Recognition of our Volunteers. There will also be motivational speeches from graduates from the GED and External Diploma Programs. Call 410-749-3217 for information.

ESL Registration at the Wicomico Adult Learning Center June 11:

The Wicomico Adult Learning Center will hold ESL (English as a Second Language) summer term registration from 10 a.m. to noon and from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. Prospective students must attend registration in order to be enrolled into a class.

Classes will begin Monday, July 6, 2009. The ESL Program for Summer Term will run from July 6 to August 20, 2009 at the Adult Learning Center at 224 Phillip Morris Drive, Suite 300 (Philmore Commons) in Salisbury.
