Another Before & After

While everyone was away for the weekend, crews came into Downtown Salisbury and tore things up for a couple of days. The end result, a mighty fine paving job.
However, I did happen to drive over the newly paved Waverly Drive where they just ran that new Pipe. Look, I don't know who's in charge of that but honest to God, that has to be some of the worst paving I have ever seen in my entire life!
I hope the City is NOT going to accept that as their final work because seriously, it's crap. Its not even flat! Kudos to the Downtown work though. Hopefully they'll be able to get all the way up to Rt. 50 in front of the GOB soon because that stretch is a mess.
I'm told Main Street is next.

The work on Waverly is not final. I hope anyway. The entire Road will probably be milled and paved when the job has been completed. I hear there will be some intersection work at locust and Waverly behind the hospital with new traffic signals and turning lanes. They might wait until this is completed before repaving the road. It would make sense

Even managed to clean the chemicals out of the sky!

It was YOUR Sby Public Works Street Division that did that "mighty fine paving job". A sorely underused and discredited segment of YOUR city government. You don't know what you have available to you when it is always squelched and ignored by YOUR city officials.

its fantastic unless you live on the plaza and had to try and sleep during their all night pave-fest

The 9:50 Anonymous post is correct. The entire length of Waverly will be paved at once. There is no sense in doing it one block at a time. A simple call to public works would have been informative. It's too bad some people like to complain even without gathering the pertinent information.
