For weeks now Barrie Tilghman’s farewell addresses have been broadcast (in different versions) on WICO and PAC 14. Yesterday the Daily Times did its much anticipated homage to the mayor that it put in office and perpetuated in two subsequent elections.
Those familiar with her recent rhetorical diatribe and self-adulation may think that we have already heard it all. But don’t be surprised if she gives a truly Oscar winning performance at the City Council meeting tonight. The Council Chambers probably will be packed with those who supported the mayor elect who defeated Barrie’s puppet and clone and/or reelected her nemesis on the Council by a huge margin.
The tension and emotion of the moment may ignite Barrie’s notorious ability to denigrate her opponents. If you can’t attend, watch live on PAC 14 if only to see if she is flaming, and, if so, whether Louise Smith will try to muzzle her by invoking the “3-minute rule”!
But don’t be shocked if she does not mention the wastewater treatment plant or if she decides to forego a last chance as mayor to do what she will be most remembered for doing when in office and probably long afterwards as well.

I'll take that bet - she's attending with her pal Jack Daniels! It could be memorable!
Maybe she will tell us about the gift of silver that was discussed in one of the posts on this blog yesterday. Inquiring minds want to know.
If she doesn't mention the gift of silver, those in attendance should ask where it is, they want to see it. Wish I could be there tonite, I'd ask.
I wish her well, just wish she would have takin the other clowns with her.
But the PAC 14 schedule has something else at 6PM tonight!
