Subject Pulls Gun at Claymont Clinic

WANTED

Location of Incident: Claymont Treatment Center, 2999 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, Delaware, New Castle County

Date and Time of Occurrence: Monday, April 20, 2009, at approximately 10:50 a.m.

Suspect(s): John Peticca, 31, of Madison Avenue, Chester, Pennsylvania

Resume: Earlier today, Mr. John Peticca responded to the Claymont Treatment Center on Philadelphia Pike, a facility where he regularly visits. While inside the location, an employee asked Mr. Peticca how he was. Peticca, who appeared agitated, pulled a handgun and pointed same at the employee.

The employee, who knows Peticca by name, told him to put the gun away and he complied. Peticca then pulled his shirt up and brandished a large knife. Words were exchanged and Peticca fled the building.

A computer check revealed John Peticca was a person prohibited from owning or possessing a handgun. Also, he is wanted on two additional capiases.

Warrants were completed charging Peticca with the following offenses: Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Person Prohibited (felony), Aggravated Menacing (felony), Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (felony) and Possession of a Concealed Deadly Instrument (misdemeanor).

Troopers are looking for Mr. Peticca’s whereabouts. Anyone who may know where he might be is asked to call Troop 1 at 302-761-6677 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.

I bet he's heading back to the swamps. He looks like that guy that played Dueling Banjos in the movie Deliverance.

He should also get consideration for not killing anyone while at the center, maybe some extra pudding at lunch, because once he's caught he's going back to jail and hopefully they won't let him out.
