Wi Middle School Teacher Mrs. Townsend Update

"JUST TO LET ALL OF YOU KNOW MRS TOWNSEND IS NOT ALRIGHT SHE HAS 2 BROKEN LEGS AND A BROKEN NOSE. SHE HAD TO BE TAKEN TO BALTIMORE TO HAVE HER LEGS FIXED.. WHAT YOU DID NOT HEAR WAS THE CAR THAT HIT HER ALSO HIT ANOTHER CAR BEFORE IT IT HER. IT HIT HER HARD ENOUGH TO SEND HER INTO THE WINDSHIELD AND INTO THE WINDOW POST AND BENT IT. SHE WILL HAVE A LONG ROAD TO RECOVERY. SHE WILL HAVE SCARS ON HER THAT SHE WILL HAVE TO LOOK AT EACH DAY. THE OTHER THING THAT YOU DON'T KNOW IS HER LITTLE BOY SAW HIS MOTHER ON THE GROUND WITH BLOOD ALL OVER HER. NOW THEIRS SOMETHING WE WANT OUT KIDS TO SEE. SO FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO CARE HOW SHE IS THEIR IT IS."

Thank You Lorrey for letting us know how she is. I'm sure many people are interested. Could you please keep us updated and let us know if there's anything we can do. Perhaps an address to send cards and letters?

should have been wearing a seatbelt. If she hit the windshield, she surely was not.

for real

How could she put her seat belt on when she wasn't even in the car yet. Get your facts straight guys!

If I remember correctly I think Mrs. Townsend wasnt in her car but crossing street? Am I right on that Joe, if so , it would have been really hard for her to have her seatbelt on... Wasn't the original reason for the post to prove the length of time it took to respond because of the drawbridge? Maybe thats why Lorrie had on caps, yelling because she felt there wasn't enough compassion shown to Mrs. Townsend. Which I don't think that was the case. Seeing how you've reached out on so many other post that was because of compassion IE: Halo, any fund raisers etc... you obviously do care. Thanks for keeping us up to date on her progress and exactly what happened. We in blogland do care about our fellow Americans. RP

Thanks for the update on her condition. I'll keep her in my prayers that her recovery will go smoothly. The scars will always be there but the good thing is that she'll still be here for her son. It's such a shame that he had to see her that way.

This poor woman had to lay and wait for an ambulance which was on the other side of town (compared to where it was). See, Gordo and the others who thought this was such a wonderful idea, what if this had been your wife or Mother? The pain this woman was in for every additional minute...was it worth the palace?

CAPS=YELLING. Stop yelling, people! We get the point!

This is another case of how things get out of line real fast! She was NOT in her car... she was scraping ice off of it!

Some people are just so ignorant.
Go back to bed Anon 9:19 and 9:24, maybe, just maybe when you wake up you'll be part of this world again.
Oh, that's right, you must be 2 of her students?

Here's wishing Mrs. Townsend a full speedy recovery.

Any word on the driver who hit her?

Her family needs our prayers. This proves that the old Firehouse should be Ems Headquarters with one EMS stationed at the new pole barn, OOPS new Firehouse. That way coverage would be where most needed by population coverage. I forgot Politians and the Good Ole Boys do not know what common sense is.

What part of town was Mrs. Townsend in that the ambulance had to get to?

How old is her son? Does her husband need help with him while she is in the hospital?

Is there an address to send cards or flowers to?

Please let us know how we can help.

Thanks.

And was there anything in the Daily Times?

Many of you have asked for a adress to send cards or flowers to so here it is you need to send them to Tracey Townsend c/o Ruth Townsend 702 Howard Street Salisbury, MD 21801. This is her grandmother-in-law. She will make sure she gets them. He son is being taken car of by his grandmother and will be their until his daddy and mommy come back home.
