Pictures courtesy of Fire in the Hole Photography.At 6pm, Salisbury Station 2 was dispatched for a MVC with injuries in the 2500 block of N. Salisbury Bvld. (in front of Courtesy Chevrolet). Three vehicles were involved, including a Salisbury Taxi that with severe front end damage. A Dodge pickup and Chevy workvan both suffered minor rear end damage from the chain reaction crash. Two patients were transported, including one person with chest pains. There was at least one other patient who refused transport. The two rightmost lanes of US13 North were closed for about 40 minutes during the event.

SO was it the Taxi's Fault? That same Taxi company totaled my wife's car while it was parked on North 13 at the Nail Salon.

Good luck if Salisbury Taxi is at fault. One of them hit my truck and that big blonde dispatcher was the nastiest, most crude woman I have ever had to deal with.

I came down SB RT-13 tonight and saw the scene over in the NB lanes. The taxi was the first car, then the other two vehicles were behind it. Obviously the taxi had to have hit something head on but was not obvious how the crash happened from how the cars were on the road.
I went past this accident also but I was on the other side. Everyone was slowing down and this JERK came flying up behind me jerked over in the left lane and gave me the finger. I noticed a nice SSU Baseball sticker in the back window. Glad to know the college kids are such PELOSI'S!
that whole stretch of rt 13 thru there is a nightmare at most times. almost need eyes in back of your head . i try to avoid that section if possible
FOR THE RECORD, THIS ACCIDENT WAS THE RESULT OF SOMEONE TRYING TO FIT A 14' TRUCK INTO A 12' SPACE. THE DRIVER OF THE PICK-UP TRUCK CHANGED LANES INTO THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE FENDER OF THE TAXI. THE TRUCKS PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL CONTINUED TO TRAVEL OVER THE TAXI AND THE DRIVER OF THE TRUCK SLAMMED ON HIS BRAKES, PROBABLY SCARED TO DEATH BECAUSE OF THE INITIAL IMPACT, AND WAS FORCED TO STOP BECAUSE OF THE THIRD VEHICLE IN FRONT OF IT. THE DRIVER OF THE TAXI, WHO HAS THIRTY YEARS+ DRIVING EXPERIENCE, WAS ABLE TO STAY WITHIN THE LANE IT WAS TRAVELING IN. UNFORTUNATELY, THE IMPACT BETWEEN THE TAXI AND THE TRUCK RESULTED IN THE THIRD VEHICLE BEING STRUCK. DUE TO THE TAXI DRIVERS ABILITY TO STAY CALM AND STAY IN HIS LANE NO ONE ELSE WAS HURT. EVERYONE INVOLVED WAS LATER FOUND TO BE FINE AND NOT INJURED. NO "CRAZY TAXI" DRIVER HERE,JUST AN EXPERIENCED LEVEL HEADED DRIVER WHO WAS ABLE TO KEEP ANYONE ELSE FROM BEING INJURED DUE TO THE ACTIONS OF AN AGGRESSIVE DRIVER.
TO THE OWNER OF THE CAR WHO SAYS HIS WIFES CAR WAS TOTALED BY THE SAME TAXI COMPANY WHILE IT WAS PARKED AT THE NAIL SALON: PLEASE CONSULT THE ACCIDENT REPORT AND WHO PAID FOR THE "TOTALED" VEHICLE.
IT WAS NOT THE TAXI COMPANY. THAT TAXI DRIVER WAS STRUCK BROADSIDE BY A 17YEAR-OLD BOY WHO MADE A U-TURN INTO THE SIDE OF THE TAXI AND FORCED IT OFF THE ROAD. THE BOY'S INSURANCE COMPANY PAID FOR ALL DAMAGES, INCLUDING THE TAXI'S, THAT RESULTED FROM THAT ACCIDENT.

Even though the boy was at fault, If the Taxi was not going as fast as he was, which was way above the posted speed limit, the damage to to her truck would never been as bad as it was. I still have the pictures if you would like everyone to see?

I can say how crazy their driving. I've almost been hit several times in the early AM heading to the gym. They need to realize this isn't New York!!!
