Hebron Cancels Controversial Portion Of Meeting

I don't know about any of you but I have personally traveled to almost every major City in America and obviously many surrounding Towns but never once have I ever felt like an outcast as I do whenever I go to Hebron. You would think the Town Officials were the old KKK and I was a Black Man walking through their doors during a KKK Meeting.

All heads popped up just as soon as I walked in the door and the lengthy stare reminded me of my Ex-Wife and her Mother, so I'm used to it and it doesn't bother me one bit. Nevertheless, these people don't want outsiders interfering into their business, unless you're a Developer, of course.

Once I learned they were cancelling the portion of the meeting I came to hear, (does it surprise you they did so after I walked in the door) I left and one woman from the Council walked out the side door with no coat on and stared me down as if she was taking a tag number.

Let me make myself LOUD and CLEAR to the Hebron Town Officials. You have NO CLUE who you're messing with and one thing I can assure you of is, should I ever come into that Town and made to feel like a Black Man at a KKK Meeting ever again, it's going to hit the fan like you have never experienced in your entire lifetime and I will be the thorn in your rear end no Doctor can ever remove. Don't believe me, just ask Mayor Barrie Tilghman of Salisbury!

We'll see you again in two weeks.

That's right, Joe, the Hebron leaders despise to see or hear from any 'outsiders'-- they refuse to see that the true outsiders are the Wilmington developers who are hell-bent on making their fortunes by ruining the wonderful town.

Joe...

You're a B.A.M.F.!

Joe, hope you'll make a return visit to Hebron VERY soon---and hope you'll see how badly the Hebron leaders disrespect citizens on a regular basis. It's an eye-opener how disrespectful they are of those who have a different opinion than they have.

Also, anyone have an update on the fatal accident lawsuit filed involving the Hebron FD vehicle?

Joe,

We want to thank you for doing what you are doing. NO ONE wants this thing to go through. The good old boys in Hebron want to make 2 or three families rich, and ruin the area for the rest of us. They have ignored the will of the people and I can only hope that they pay. The only thing this boondoggle is going to do is increase the taxes for those in Hebron.

You rock Joe.

Who is the town attorney for Hebron?

Seems to me they must have something to hide. Fear of Joe Albero = fear of being exposed.

you make a good point

I have heard many comments by Hebronites questioning why Hebron leaders have been pushing this project from the get-go--lots of speculation on what was exchanged.

Joe showing up puts Hebron officials on notice--get right now.
If Joe starts talking to Hebron people, he will learn much.

Developers should not run this Town. Hooper and Holston should have stood up against the developers and sided with the people of Hebron who do not want this project.

Anyway, Joe made them scared just by showing up! All good for Hebron and Hebron folks!

How is this your business?

Joe, what are they afraid of. I am sure that you would welcome any concerns, or opinions that the Hebron council has. I would invite them to use this open form to say why they so dislike (fear) you coming to the meeting. Keep us infromed, keep them honest

I agree! Isn't this called "Salisbury News"? Stick to where you pay taxes Joe. Even if you did make the people there uncomfortable, they have every reason to be and your reaction is uncalled for.

It needs to be somebodies business..

To 12:29 p.m--assuring good governance is the 'business' of everybody. Remember, there is supposed to be transparency and your comment is the mindset of the Holston and Hooper. And it is the mindset from which citizens are demanding a change.

If I am not mistaken the New York Times and the Washington Post have regional coverage. Joe you may have to put this in your regional news section.

10:13-

The normal Hebron lawyer is a guy named Cox from Salisbury, but they have a special guru named Tony ---- from the Western Shore for this rape of the public.

Whoever "tedh" is, I like your reasoned approach to things--why haven't we seen you at Hebron meetings (or maybe we have?)

May you could talk sense to these Hebron leaders--we need help 'cause they sure don't pay any of us any mind!

Hebron = Salisbarrie, West

I don't understand how the water and sewer and stormwater management can work on a project this large. I saw a comment earlier on this item but I guess with no hearing last night we will never know.

12:29-It's EVERYBODY'S business. What goes on in Hebron affects the whole lower eastern shore, as well as what goes on in Salisbury, Snow Hill, Delmar, etc. Overdevelopment to feed a few already rich developers and to ruin our small beautiful towns is everybody's business.

Why would someone care if Joe went to this meeting, or any other meeting for that matter.
These meetings are PUBLIC meetings. This means they are open to ALL, not just the select residents of the area.
Personally, I feel that if more people like Joe would attend meetings and bring up issues, it would be a good thing to have the perspective of someone looking in from the outside because people around here are so closed to everything going on outside their perimeter, it's scary.
Wonder why crime is like it is? Partially because a lot of people go home from work, close their doors, lower their blinds on their windows (if they ever open them to begin with) and let the world go by.
THAT is why the growth has happened the way it has, because nobody is watching!

The first day this post was up there was a website address to see what the Waller development looks like. I can't seem to find that on here anymore. Can we get that posted again? I would like to show that to some others that live in Hebron.
