It's actually not a bad concept. It just needs to be marketed better. I have to wonder though, if the February event was cancelled because of lack of participation, and nothing differently is done in the next three weeks until the next one, I wonder what makes anyone think participation for the March Mingle will be any different than February's?
1st the fee is $20.00 if you RSVP or $25 if you show up at the door. 2nd the concept is good and we have had approx. 30 to 40 singles attend in January and in November. I am the one who is trying to make this work. I do work for The Fountains as the Administrative Assistant and Wedding Coordinator. Chris Davis has granted me the opportunity to hold this function in the ballroom as long as the room is free from any other event. I am able to use this room as long as I have enough participants to pay for the DJ, Bartender and the Server. Chris has his Chef provide us with Hors d' oeuvres that have been outstanding and he provides a Bar that we can purchase drinks. I need at least 20 people to RSVP before I can continue. I only had 11 signed up as of Thursday 4pm. We are holding the next one on March 13th at 7pm. Please start to RSVP as soon as possible and the deadline for that is March the 11th 4pm. As for marketing this event it all comes from my pocket since it is my event. I have to rely on PSA and Joe's well read Blog to get the word out. I would love to advertise in the other areas but I can not afford this. I am not making a dime off of this just the satisfaction of singles meeting other singles and having a great time. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them. Call 410-749-5445 to reach me. Thank you.

Not surprised about that. Who wants to pay $35 cover at the Fountains? Not me.
