Wow, an actual fundraiser for Gary? They must be hurting if SAPOA isn't meeting all his financial needs this time around. Maybe some of the smarter landlords figured out he's not a good investment.
Steve Grant is an owner of the Riverside Drive condos I believe. Guess he has his pick of penthouses.
Grant's unit must be one of the 36(out of 42) unsold units at that horrid looking condo project he built a couple years ago on Riverside Drive directly across the ditch from Brew River.

Give Vinny the benefit of the doubt. The post didn't say that he supported either candidate in any way. It just stated that a party was booked at his restaurant. It's business - you book if you are paid.

In fact TJ Maloney is a great guy and HE DOES do a lot for this community even though he supports Gary. Many of Gary's supporters do a lot for this community and many are great people, good people.

And I have to say, I don't support Gary. I believe that he becoming mayor would be the worst scenario for Salisbury. Nothing personal Gary, I just think you are too indebted to the wrong people and your track record is not indicative of one who I feel deserves full control. Why have we not heard from you on a public level explaining many of the accusations that have appeared here on this blog? My guess is that most of it is true and there is simply no excuse.
That being said 1:37, there is a way to convey your opinion on an opponent and their supporters without being hateful and slanderous. Just because someone has money and obviously a vested interest in who takes office, doesn't make them a bad person. Why would anyone shoot themselves in the foot? If I were on SAPOA and I had a rental property business, I would want to look out for myself and my family. No different than if I owned one house in Pinehurst and was supporting a candidate who was in favor of 4-2. It is my right to choose and I shouldn't be ridiculed for practicing survival of the fittest. This nation is still a Capitalist nation.

And to answer your question of why most of his supporters live outside the city limits..Tell me, where inside the city limits can I build my custom dream home of $500k and do so near comparable properties???....there simply is a better quality of life living outside the city limits. Many, many business owners here in Salisbury live outside the city limits. Fact is, many of these business owners deserve the right to vote in city elections. Some more than residents. A student here for 1-5 years has the right to vote if they rent inside the city limits. A business owner of 50 years, living in Nithsdale, does not. Now who in this scenario has a MORE vested interest. I would bet a survey would determine the latter. Sure there are a few good residential spots left in town, but this town is deteriorated from years past.
Oh and by the way, if you're going to bash someone, GROW SOME BALLS AND POST YOUR NAME.
On a side note, Vinny your are still the man. If Comegys campaign wants to pay me to use my facility, I'll take it. The price may be inflated, but I'll take it. Green is green.

Maloney is a sheister, we all know this. Vinny doesn't need to be reprimanded for running a business and making money off this event. We all know business is slow, especially in the discretionary markets, i.e. restaurants. Vinny is making money for his business and all of his employees who all pay taxes that go back to the community. To be angry because someone else eats at the same restaurant is just ignorant. Forget these jokers but don't penalize a long standing local business. I will still eat there, seared tuna with hot spinach salad, yumm.

PS Friend went to buy house on river at auction had to back out when he found out his City of Salisbury taxes annually alone were going to be $30k! For what? Absurd. No one can afford to live in the city including the wealthy, it is just throwing money away.
I was at that same auction and walked away because of the taxes.
