A Soldier's Welcome Home Part I

Marine Brian Mason was blown away Friday when he walked off his Plane at the Wicomico Airport and into the main terminal area where he was addressed by more than 300+ of the finest men, women and children from the Eastern Shore.

Brian had just returned from Iraq and we wanted to make sure he knew exactly how much we appreciate what he and all of the Soldiers are doing for all of us here in the United States.

Brian and his Family were escorted from the Airport to the Hebron Fire Department by motorcycle enthusiasts as well as the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department.

Ladies & Gentlemen, if you have not attended one of these events, they are simply unbelievable. I have spoken to Brian's Family since this event and they assure me they will be attending every one of the other Soldiers returning to Wicomico County when they too return home.

Salisbury News will continue to Post the dates and times of each one of these events and we truly encourage you to come out and participate.

WELCOME HOME BRIAN AND THANK YOU. Another special thanks goes out to We Care Wicomico and Mrs. Linda Kent!

Marines don't call themselves soldiers, they call themselves marines.

This brings tears to my eyes.

It was great to be a part of this return home to the "Land of Pleasant Living" (that Land, of course, does not apply to Barrieland).

BTW, have you noticed that Barrie apparently thinks it's beneath her to go to any of these events???????
Shame, Barrie, shame. County officials take time out all the time to come.

There are some city officials who attend. Councilwoman Cohen attends every time she can, as does Councilwoman Campbell. I have been to a few and seen them there. Never seen Bubba, Shamie, Weasel or Mare.

It is above Barrie's "pay grade" to mingle with the little people.

Who the hell would want Barrie, Gary, Shanie or the weasel at any event? Don't encourage those idiots to join the good people in this county. Let their sorry asses sit in the city and rot just like the city is doing.

Welcome home Marine! That being said I must also add that you were totally out of uniform getting off the plane with your baseball cap on backwards. Marines have a dress code even when in civilian cloths and you best check it out. Had I been at your home coming, I would have told you to turn the cap around!

Wow Mrs. Kent you are always the nucleus of so many good things. That was an impressive greeting, I've been to a few and it sure has grown. I'll try for the next one.

Welcome Home from a grateful nation Brian Mason~!
