Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

Charles Wesley Kilmon, 59yoa of Easton, MD was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault, 4th Degree Sex Offense, and Personate a Police Officer. During the on going investigation into the Homicide of Audrey Jurewicz, detectives received information from interviews with area prostitutes that a subject was representing himself as a police officer in an attempt to gain sexual favors. Further investigation found that the subject had picked up a victim and identified himself as a police officer. The subject kissed and fondled the victim. The victim had not consented to this and exited the subject’s vehicle. With information received from the victim a bulletin was sent out to area law enforcement in an attempt to locate the subject. As a result of the bulletin a subject that matched the description was stopped and a photograph obtained. The victim was shown a photographic line up where she positively identified the subject as Kilmon that had assaulted her and represented himself as a police officer. Kilmon was released to the custody of Central Booking.

William Paul Tingle, 26yoa of Salisbury was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault, False Imprisonment, and Reckless Endangerment. Officers responded to the 900 block of Green-Mor Ave for a reported assault in progress. On arrival officers met with the victim who advised that she became involved in a physical altercation with Tingle. During the altercation, Tingle pushed the victim, who is pregnant, to the floor and had also slapped the victim in her head. The victim attempted to get away from Tingle but was forcefully held against her will. In addition, Tingle damaged the victim’s cell phone when she attempted to contact the police. Tingle was released to the custody of Central Booking. 200800030904

In one day I see how one of my former classmates has served his country, and how another, Mr. Tingle, represents everything that is wrong with this country. Can you believe Tingle was a "cool kid"?

This press release exemplifies the SPD. there is a new charge of "Personate"? Don't they have a someone vet these press releases? Nice ton have spelling and gramatical errors all over your website SPD. This does not help your patrol officers credibility. They have to write specific accurate reports for legal proceedings and this is what the 3rd floor shows the public. BTW look at other press releases this is not the first time this has happened. First rule of PR, make sure what you show the public is accurate and correct, not just in facts but also in presentation.
