Incident: STRONG ARM ROBBERY

Location: 800 block of E. Elizabeth Street, Delmar, MD

Narrative: On July 26, 2008 at approximately 12:30 am, Officers of the Delmar Police Department were alerted to a Robbery that occurred in the 800 Block of E. Elizabeth Street, Delmar, Maryland. The investigation revealed three adult males, who reside in Delmar, were “attacked” by approximately ten African American male suspects. The victims reported walking in the area between the 700 & 800 block of E. Elizabeth Street when the suspects approached them. The victims reported being punched and kicked, as well as property being demanded from them. The suspects subsequently stole the victims’ cell phones, an iPod, and numerous clothing items. Two of the victims were beaten unconscious.
The investigation revealed the identity of two Juvenile suspects. Delmar Police have obtained warrants on the identified Juveniles charging them as adults. The investigation in on going and no information has developed to determine if the incident is gang related or not.

damn so much for my daughter going into delmar to hang out with her friends, "it sucks when those among us who do nothing but wrong, affect the freedoms of those of us that try to do right". delmar needs a curfew for kids to.
They are Rabid animals. Like all Rabid animals, we need to put them down. Send them to prison and they'll simply learn new ways to inflict pain on the rest of us.
As for gangs, we need to rethink howwe define a gang. Ten people attacking and person or group of people is a gang. That's a simple call!
Remember, if te punishment equals the crime, they stand nothing to lose. Let the punishment FAR exceed the crime and you'll see a drop in the crime rate.
The report doesn't state whether the victims were also black or some other race. If they were some other race, These punks should also be charged with a hate crime because of the brutality of the attack. Regardless of any racial considerations, these sub-human animals should be taken off the streets for a very long time! Yes, whether the attacking punks were white, black, Latino or other race, they are sub-human animals and the police and courts should treat them as such!
As a resident of Delmar (and not to far from the location of this crime) I hope they nail them!!!
