Gregory Wallace Kern has more of a history than most ever knew. Gregory is the guy being charged with burning down the Dough Rollers in Ocean City.
However, Gregory was ALSO the guy who allegedly burned down the Bush's Chesapeake Inn several years ago. Many might ask, what's he doing roaming the streets today for then? Because the States Attorney who was handling the case at the time allegedly LOST THE FILE before the Trial and the guy got completely off! That's right, he walked!
Gregory lived above Melvin's Steak House at the time of the Dough Roller Fire and was on medication for having multiple personalities, mental illnesses. He was employed by Dough Rollers and quite frankly if I were Joel Todd, I'd be asking questions about the major HOOPERS fire in West Ocean City as well.
Nevertheless, you heard it here first Ladies & Gentlemen. You should see something in a couple of days elsewhere while they try to catch up with this information.

You might be onto something there Joe with the mention of Hooper's. Was that also ruled an arson? It's been so long ago, it slips by me.

Is he white or black? The Maryland Case Search shows several cases with the same height and birthdate, but different races and multiple addresses. He is listed in Wicomico, Annapolis and Worcester County? No wonder these criminal walk if they can't tell what race he is.

Kern is a local town crazy guy. He has been around oc for years. Mr. ALbero, that is the first i have ever heard of him burning anything else down. Im not sure where you got that info from, but i suggest you lose him/her as a source of info.
I can tell you that I spoke with Cliff Cristello, fire marshall, and this will be a very very hard case to convict. Especially in Worc County. The evidence that they have is all cirumstancial and nothing is set in stone.
He has been arrested numerous times but nothing for arson or malicious burning. Its always the homeless screwball cases.....trespassing, theft, disorderly and alcohol issues.
You are right in saying that he is on meds for split personality. I think he has about 10 of them and every damn one of them are nuts. LOL...Anyway, Just wanted to give you a heads up that your source isnt very reliable.

And you were with him the entire time to prove that he didn't burn anything down? If you check the the judicial case search you will see that he is well known all over the state.

I know I will chastised for saying this but hey-Its just MY opinion and Im gonna tell it like it is.If this dude has a habit of torching commercial properties(like restaurants) then perhaps its time to look a little further than Kern himself and ask what motivated him.A crazy man would burn random crap not just certain places.I hope that insurance fraud was fully ruled out in all these instances

Wow! Some of these comments are just bind blowing. You can tell who does and who does NOT know Greg. Greg is a very loving and caring person who would do whatever he could for whoever needed it. Greg may have done some dumb shit in his life, but who hasn't - oh, unless you think you are perfect..but Greg would NEVER ever burn a place down for the simple fact that he knows it may cause harm to someone and he loves OC and looks forward to being there and working there in the summer. Lets think..If you were to burn a place down would you still be in OC and have a new job on the boardwalk? NO!! You would get as far away as you could!I have known Greg for almost 20 years and I can honestly say I DO know Greg and his quirks. As for the smart comment about the split personality and being on meds I hope all the people who do have that kind of illness read this and realize what an ass you are.

And last..to the question about his race...Greg is WHITE..does that mean something..NOT! Black or white..greg is being set up or maybe the investigators think that if they try to play the "crazy" card that he will be convicted and that nobody will be there to help him. WRONG! "Who allegedly burned down Busch's" but got off because the state "lost the file" Stretching things a bit don't ya think?
Yes Greg does suffer from mental illness, a very sad unfortunate condition, which makes this even sadder. To those that like to take punches at the less fortunate and call them names like "town crazy" I pray no one ever attacks you in such a cruel and pathetic manner over a medical condition.
Greg's the perfect candidate to take the fall for this horrific crime. Target someone who has a mental deficit and close your case.
I have yet to hear any FACTS that lead to Greg being responsible for this. I personally suspect since this was such a news worthy fire the pressure is on to hurry up and try and convict someone, as it should be, but until I hear facts otherwise, I believe
Greg is an easy scapegoat.
