Gold Up $30; Oil Climbs Over $100 Per Barrel; Dow Up 400 Plus
Prepare yourself for some serious price inflation. If "liquidity" is provided to global markets in any size, the price inflation ramification will be huge (not to mention that Bernanke is already printing at over 15% plus)
For the record, the Dow Industrial Average is up today over 400 points to 11,969. Gold is at $1,748 up $29.50. Oil has, again, broken the $100 price mark and is trading at $100.60 a barrel. Copper is up 5.5% to $3.58 per pound (hang on to your nickels which are made up of 80% copper)and silver is at $32.75 an ounce, up 2.5%.
The above price points are the starting point, when the price inflation really heats up these prices will only be fond memories.

Despite Earmark Ban, Lawmakers Try To Give Money To Hundreds Of Pet Projects
Members of the House and the Senate attempted to pack hundreds of special spending provisions into at least 10 bills in the summer and fall, less than a year after congressional leaders declared a moratorium on earmarks, congressional records show.
The moratorium, announced last November in the House and in February in the Senate, is a verbal commitment by the Republican leadership to prohibit lawmakers from directing federal funds to handpicked projects and groups in their districts. Lawmakers have tried to get around the moratorium by promising to allow other groups to compete for the funds. But the legislative language is so narrowly tailored that critics consider the practice to be earmarking by another name.

GOP Willing To Raise Payroll Taxes On 113 Million Households To Spare 345,000 Millionaires From Tiny Surtax
Senate Democrats yesterday introduced legislation — as they’ve been promising to — that would extend a soon-to-expire payroll tax cut, and pay for it by implementing a surtaxon income above $1 million. Republicans, of course, are opposing the plan, reviving their false claims that taxing the very wealthiest Americans will hit small businesses and job creators.
In essence, the GOP is saying that it’s willing to allow higher taxes on middle- and lower-income Americans in order to prevent tax increases on the very wealthy. According to an analysis by Citizens for Tax Justice, provided to the Washington Post’s Greg Sargent, the surtax would affect exceedingly few taxpayers, while a payroll tax cut expiration would wallop more than 100 million households:

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. — Police say a central Kentucky father trying to load groceries and his three children into a vehicle after a shopping trip forgot one thing — his 6-month-old infant.
It happened Tuesday at a Kroger in Jessamine County, WLEX-TV reported. The father left the baby in a grocery cart after unloading everything else and drove away.

Tony Crescenzi,Senior VP,Strategist and Portfolio Manager at Pimco explains how the swaps announced by the Fed will expand the Fed's monetary base:
[A]ny use of the Fed’s swap facility expands the Fed’s monetary base: all dollars, no matter where they are deposited, whether it be Kazakhstan, Japan, or Mexico, wind up back in an American bank. This means that any time a foreign central bank engages in a swap with the Federal Reserve, the Fed will create new money in order to make the swap. Use of the Fed’s liquidity swap line in late 2008 was the main cause of a surge in the Fed’s monetary base at that time. The peak for the swap line was about $600 billion in December 2008. Some observers will therefore say that the swap line is a backdoor way to engage in more quantitative easing.
Keep in mind that the monetary base is important, however, money in the base does not mean it is necessarily money in the economy. For example, most of the money created by the Fed in 2008,and up until recently, went into excess reserves and thus did not impact the economy. Bernanke may not be so lucky this time. If the money stays in the system and doesn't end up in excess reserves, the price inflationary consequences will be huge.. The money created by the swaps is being used to bailout Greek, Spain etc debt. That money is likely to end up being used to buy even more PIIGS debt, which means it will end up in the hands of the Greeks, Spaniards, etc. and not as excess reserves. German Chancellor Angela Merkel fought tooth and nail to prevent the ECB from .monetizing the PIIGS debt, so instead, Bernanke has stepped in to inflate. Bernanke is playing with fire here and Americans are all likely to get burned with soaring prices.

Upon contact with the driver the Deputy detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about the driver’s breath and person. REUTERS – Oil consuming nations, hedge funds and big oil refineries are quietly preparing for a Doomsday scenario: An attack on Iran that would halt oil supplies from OPEC’s second-largest producer.
Most political analysts and oil traders say the probability of military action is low, but they caution the risks of such an event have risen as the West and Israel grow increasingly alarmed by signs that Tehran is building nuclear weapons.
That has Chinese refiners drawing up new contingency plans, hedge funds taking out options on $170 crude, and energy experts scrambling to determine how a disruption in Iran’s oil supply — however remote the possibility — would impact world markets.
With production of about 3.5 million barrels per day, Iran supplies 2.5 percent of the world’s oil.
“I think the market has paid too little attention to the possibility of an attack on Iran. It’s still an unlikely event, but more likely than oil traders have been expecting,” says Bob McNally, once a White House energy advisor and now head of consultancy Rapidan Group.
Rising tensions were clear this week as Iranian protesters stormed two British diplomatic missions in Tehran in response to sanctions, smashing windows and burning the British flag.

Fish In Diet May Ward Off Alzheimer's
Eating fish may keep the brain healthy and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease, a new study says.
In the study, people who ate baked or broiled fish at least once a week had larger volumes ofgray matter in areas of the brain known to be involved in memory and learning. Moreover, people with larger volumes in these areas reduced the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease five-fold over a five year period.
People who ate fried fish, on the other hand, did not gain protection against Alzheimer's.

America, Free Market Economy Or Socialism?
Today, the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and four other central banks unveiled a coordinated action to provide liquidity to "ease strains in financial markets." "The purpose of these actions is to ease strains in financial markets and thereby mitigate the effects of such strains on the supply of credit to households and businesses and so help foster economic activity," the Fed said in a statement.
The United States of America is a sovereign Nation, supported by a free market economy, not a Socialist member of a one world government. We are living with the consequences of our Federal government’s takeover of the U.S. housing and mortgage markets. It is only a matter of time before this unconstitutional involvement into the private sector monetary system destroys our Nation from within.

1. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind-of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd that had gathered and observed the above listed suspects acting in a disorderly manner and refusing to halt that behavior. Officers gave several orders to the suspects to leave the area and cease their behavior and neither would comply. Both suspects were arrested and transported to WCDC.

SYNOPSIS:On the above date and time Fruitland Officers were contacted by PRMC staff regarding a patient that had been assaulted at 300 Poplar Street by the above named suspect. Officers learned that the suspect approached the victim and threw a cup full of bleach into the victim’s eyes, potentially causing serious injury. Officers obtained a Warrant for the suspect’s arrest and on November 29, 2011 an officer located the suspect at the same address. Upon placing the suspect under arrest, the suspect became combative and resisted arrest, causing a crowd to gather. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to WCDC in a vehicle equipped with a prisoner restraint barrier.

It's Official: Obama Is Now The Worst American President As His Approval Rating Plunges Far Below Carter's
We doubt many will be surprised by the latest presidential polling update from Gallup, and certainly not the record nearly 50 million Americans on foodstamps, but here it is nonetheless, from US News [6]: "President Obama's slow ride down Gallup's daily presidential job approval index has finally passed below Jimmy Carter, earning Obama the worst job approval rating of any president at this stage of his term in modern political history. Since March, Obama's job approval rating has hovered above Carter's, considered among the 20th century's worst presidents, but today Obama's punctured Carter's dismal job approval line. On their comparison chart, Gallup put Obama's job approval rating at 43 percent compared to Carter's 51 percent." One can only imagine what would happen to Obama's ratings if indeed the Iranian hostage situation escalated and the president was forced to get involved, in addition to oil spiking to "doomsday" levels of course as Pimco's worst case predicts: "Back in 1979, Carter was far below Obama until the Iran hostage crisis, eerily being duplicated in Tehran today with Iranian protesters storming the British embassy. The early days of the crisis helped Carter's ratings, though his failure to win the release of captured Americans, coupled with a bad economy, led to his defeat by Ronald Reagan in 1980." And while some may say this is merely a one time blip, a longer-term average shows otherwise: "Gallup finds that Obama's overall job approval rating so far has averaged 49 percent. Only three former presidents have had a worse average rating at this stage: Carter, Ford, and Harry S. Truman. Only Truman won re-election in an anti-Congress campaign that Obama's team is using as a model." HSLDA Defends Major Parental Rights (Medical Decisions) Case
Who should make very difficult decisions for children? Parents or doctors?
In March of this year, 8-year-old Jacob Stieler was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a dangerous bone cancer. His parents took him to a highly-rated children’s oncology center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jacob had surgery to remove the tumor, which was followed by several rounds of chemotherapy. The treatment was incredibly difficult, and Jacob’s mom, Erin, said that when she looked her son in the eyes, she knew in her heart that he simply could not survive many more rounds of these drugs.
Erin and Ken, Jacob’s mom and dad, joined by hundreds of others, prayed for Jacob and his complete recovery.
After all of these rounds of chemotherapy were completed, there was a PET scan done to check on the status of the cancer. There was no evidence of cancer detected in Jacob’s body. Jacob’s family and friends rejoiced in his healing—praising God for this wonderful outcome.
But the doctors wanted to give Jacob several more rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, despite the clean PET scan.
When asked why they wanted to keep giving Jacob these incredibly dangerous drugs, the doctors replied that this was “the standard of care” for his illness.
Jacob’s parents begged the doctors to make an individual diagnosis, rather than simply following unbending standards. But the doctors were steadfast. All children with this cancer needed multiple rounds of these drugs—regardless of PET scan results, the doctors contended.
Jacob’s parents did extensive study of the side effects of the five different chemotherapy drugs that the doctor wanted to administer. And they believed that the risk of the drugs was far greater than the risk of recurrent cancer, since Jacob had a clean PET scan. They said no to the doctors. No more chemotherapy treatment for now.
But the doctors would not take no for an answer. They called Child Protective Services in Jacob’s county and asked the agency to file charges against the family for medical neglect.
After looking into the matter, both the local CPS agency and the local prosecuting attorney refused to file charges. They believed that the parents were making reasonable decisions for Jacob.
The doctors still would not take no for an answer. They called higher authorities in the state level CPS agency. The doctors had to make several calls before they finally found someone who would agree with them.
As a result of all of these calls, the local CPS agency was pressured into filing medical neglect charges against the parents.
The local prosecutor still refused to take a case against the family, so the state level CPS officials hired an independent private lawyer to serve as the prosecutor against Ken and Erin Stieler.
Home School Legal Defense Association chairman Michael Farris decided he needed to help.
"When I heard about this case—and checked out the facts—I knew that I could not sit on the sidelines and watch this family be overrun and parental rights be trashed by well-meaning but overzealous doctors."
"I recently flew to Michigan and took the depositions of all three doctors who were scheduled to testify against the family."
“Have all of these drugs been approved by the FDA as safe and effective for children?” I asked Jacob’s treating oncologist.
“Yes,” she replied, they have been FDA-approved for children.
According to the official package inserts that we were able to obtain, she is just flat wrong.
She wanted to continue to give Ifosfamide to Jacob.
The FDA disclosure for this drug says: “Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.”
The oncologist wanted to give Jacob a weeks’ worth of Etoposide.
The FDA disclosure says: “Pediatric Use: Safety and effectiveness in pediatric patients have not been established.”
The warning on the drug Doxorubicin says: “Pediatric patients are at increased risk for developing delayed cardiotoxicity.”
This means that the drug can cause severe harm to a child’s heart—at even higher rates than it can in adults.
In fact, as it turned out, the treating doctor had never even seen, much less read, these official FDA-required package inserts.

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey prosecutors say they will move quickly to extradite a man suspected of killing his 2-year-old daughter by tossing her into a creek while she was still strapped in her car seat.
Twenty-seven-year-old Arthur Morgan III was captured without incident late Tuesday afternoon at a home in San Diego, Calif. The arrest came one week after he allegedly killed Tierra Morgan-Glover during a court-approved visit and then fled the state.

Senate Passes Bill Allowing Indefinite Detention of Americans ... Considers Bill Authorizing More Torture
The Senate passed a bill today allowing indefinite detention of American citizens living within the U.S.
While some have claimed that this is incorrect, and that American citizens would be exempted from the indefinite detention within U.S. borders authorized by the Act, the Committee chairman who co-sponsored the bill – Carl Levin – stated today in Senate debate that it could apply to American citizens.
Levin cited the Supreme Court case of Hamdi which ruled that American citizens can be treated as enemy combatants:
“The Supreme Court has recently ruled there is no bar to the United States holding one of its own citizens as an enemy combatant,” said Levin. “This is the Supreme Court speaking.“
Under questioning from Rand Paul, co-sponsor John McCain said that Americans suspected of terrorism could be sent to Guantanamo.

While some have claimed that this is incorrect, and that American citizens would be exempted from the indefinite detention within U.S. borders authorized by the Act, the Committee chairman who co-sponsored the bill – Carl Levin – stated today in Senate debate that it could apply to American citizens.
Levin cited the Supreme Court case of Hamdi which ruled that American citizens can be treated as enemy combatants:
“The Supreme Court has recently ruled there is no bar to the United States holding one of its own citizens as an enemy combatant,” said Levin. “This is the Supreme Court speaking.“
Under questioning from Rand Paul, co-sponsor John McCain said that Americans suspected of terrorism could be sent to Guantanamo.

The volunteers serve a free turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings from 11:00am to 2:00pm at St. Paul's by-the-Sea on 3rd and Baltimore Streets in Ocean City. This event has become an important part of the Christmas celebration for many including the homeless, unemployed, underemployed, shut-in, and those who are alone. Noel provides gifts and toys to many who attend. All items are free and all are welcome.
Last year, the Noel Community volunteers served over 1,600 meals including sit-down dinners and carry-outs. Meals were delivered to those who could not leave their homes and to the police, fire departments, and others who serve our community on Christmas Day.
Again this year, there is a need for monetary donations. Checks made payable to the Noel Community can be mailed to PO Box 1207 in Ocean City MD, 21843. Your financial support to purchase items for the dinner is appreciated.

The Maryland State Police, with the help of a Baltimore County Walmart and Eastern Tech High School, are working to make some area children’s Christmas a whole lot brighter. UPDATE 3: The central banks have agreed to lower the pricing on the existing temporary U.S. dollar liquidity swap arrangements by 50 basis points so that the new rate will be the U.S. dollar overnight index swap (OIS) rate plus 50 basis points. This pricing will be applied to all operations conducted from December 5, 2011. The authorization of these swap arrangements has been extended to February 1, 2013. In addition, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan, the European Central Bank, and the Swiss National Bank will continue to offer three-month tenders until further notice.
As a contingency measure, these central banks have also agreed to establish temporary bilateral liquidity swap arrangements so that liquidity can be provided in each jurisdiction in any of their currencies should market conditions so warrant. At present, there is no need to offer liquidity in non-domestic currencies other than the U.S. dollar, but the central banks judge it prudent to make the necessary arrangements so that liquidity support operations could be put into place quickly should the need arise, the Federal Reserve said. These swap lines are authorized through February 1, 2013.

RSC Update: Stop Squeezing The Middle Class
For the last few years, the middle class has been repeatedly squeezed by failed “stimulus” plans fed with debt and higher taxes. And now liberals are at it again, demanding permanent tax increases to pay for temporary attempts at “stimulus.” Placing an even greater burden on families, small businesses, and future generations is no way to get our economy back on track.
Temporary tax changes are no match for permanent tax relief that gives families and businesses the confidence to make big decisions on purchases, investments, and job creation. Kidnapper Sues Former Hostages, Says They Broke Promise

A man who held a Kansas couple hostage in their home while fleeing from authorities is suing them, claiming that they broke an oral contract made when he promised them money in exchange for hiding him from police.
