He must be out of the loop.

Did it happen or didn't it? Anyway, sad to see a Lead Investigator for a three-county area can't send a message to the media without grammar, punctuation, AND spelling errors. So sad....But good for him, I guess. He figured out the public will pay his way while he's working and keep on paying while he's retired. With his obviously limited English skills, it's a pretty good deal for him.

Gmail account? Lead Investigator? This person isn't even literate for God's sake. This looks bogus to me. Wow. The things bored people do. This cat needs to go out and get some sun or mow the lawn or find a hobby. Incredible!

Joker can't spell homicide and has atrocious grammar. He shouldn't be investigating ANYTHING given his lack of professionalism in an email. That email is a reflection of the pride he takes in his position. Pitiful.

Get Comey on it he leaks and RATS.

Hey Chuck, why don't you investigate how to spell the word "YOU'RE"!

OCPD handles it's own problems and do not need help from the county.

Bornhere investigator.

First thing that jumped out at me too.
Gmail....really?

He called himself "lead investigator for Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset Counties". Lead investigator of WHAT? What organization is he claiming he is associated with?

Sorry to tell you, but all those maryland . gov email addresses are a corporate gmail account

It is obviously a fake email.
Anybody knows the investigator would know how to spell Homicide.
Come on.

this is fake.

Thank you Joe.

I missed an "e" in homicide and I didn't spell "you're" right. The grammar police are out in full force today.

I know everyone will pick this entire post apart but I am County Forensic Investigator for the State of Maryland. I never claimed to be affiliated with a police agency. I am the Lead Investigator for this area. We are independent contractors for the state. This is not a glamorous job and we do not get paid well for it. If any of you want my job you can certainly have it.

I sent the email to Joe to clarify that there was no call made to any forensic investigator in reference to a homicide. It was never intended to be an official document. Everyone is all about fact checking now. I was just trying to let him know his facts were not correct. I did not think he would feel the need to put it out so you guys would crucify me for my grammar and the thankless job that I have. We get called for all deaths in our response area. It is a separate investigation from the police investigation. We work with all police agencies.

We do use Gmail. It is what the state requires us to use. I can't help that you do not believe it.

I am willing to meet with Joe and show him the ID that the state has provided to me. I will also give him the phone number to state office so he can verify that I am who I say I am. Joe, you can also contact any of the police agencies in this area to confirm my identity.

Lastly, I am sorry that I do not have the Harvard education that all of you do. Please forgive me for my bad grammar and spelling. Like I said you guys can have my job if you want it.

Joe, I really appreciate you dragging my name through the mud.

Let the nit-picking begin!

This is a silly person pretending to be the Lead Investigator.
No way he would send such a sloppy email.
No way.

I agree it is fake.

A government employee would not use a gmail account.
Also would know how to spell you're and homicide.

It is fake.

Someone is trying to embarrass this investigator.
Should have charges for impersonating a government official.

Anonymous said...

that does NOT look like an official document/email. Are you sure it's legit?

Law enforcement aren't tax exempt! They pay state and federal taxes. This means they pay for their own salaries. Do you?

Chuck, no one drug your name through the mud but you. You did this to yourself. YOU and ONLY YOU chose to reach out to a media outlet, via email, to correct them on a media post. In doing so, YOU chose to send an email with poor spelling, incorrect grammar and atrocious sentence structure. You sent the email AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF YOUR POSITION not as a private citizen. Therefore, you should have put more thought into your communication and taken more pride in the message you were attempting to convey. You made yourself look like an uneducated redneck. This made the general public question everything about you. Stop playing the victim and own your mistakes. Lastly, this posted comment, regarding your complaints about your job (to include hours of work and low compensation) is ridiculous. How do you think your supervisors will react to you publicly complaining about a job YOU knowingly accepted after being informed of the compensation and hours? If you don't like the job, QUIT. However, complaining to the public about your job is immature and petty. It also shows a lack of loyalty, commitment and good decision making skills.

Chuck sounds like a snowflake of the elder kind. What kind of moron writes a badly penned email then complains for being called out. The whole email looks dodgy. Is this guy legit? Why doesn't someone from OCPD verify this person as someone they turn to for forensic analysis? To be honest, if someone can't spell homicide, then they have no business investigating it.

Blah, blah, blah Chuck. That was a bunch of typing that said absolutely nothing. No one wants to hear about your low pay and long hours. You are a supervisor. Your subordinates will undoubtedly read this. It is not good leadership to publicly complain about your job conditions.

Your email was ridiculous. Instead of tying to justify it, admit your mistake. A simple "you're right, I should have considered my audience and taken more pride in my position and communicated more professionally" would have been more readily accepted. Instead, you come on here playing the victim and being an antagonist. To quote the Eric Church song Three Year Old, "When you're wrong you should just say so. I learned that...from a three year old".

Chuck Ward said...

9:55 you are right. I should have considered my audience. Thank You.

Thank you Joe for everything you do for this Community. What would we do without you?

I want to thank everyone for their kind words.

Have a nice day.
