Trump Says He's Closing Foundation, But Democrats Want More

President-elect Donald Trump says he will dissolve his charitable foundation before taking office to avoid conflicts of interest. The Democratic Party says that's not enough and is calling for the billionaire businessman to put his assets in a blind trust.

The New York attorney general's office has been investigating the foundation following media reports that foundation spending went to benefit Trump's campaign. A spokeswoman says the foundation cannot close until the investigation is complete.

Trump said in a statement Saturday that he has directed his counsel to take the necessary steps to implement the dissolution of the Donald J. Trump Foundation, saying that it operated "at essentially no cost for decades, with 100 percent of the money going to charity."

Well his "charity" is being investigated for reasons including his use of it to settle lawsuits, make campaign donations and buy a large portrait of himself..

But it's OK for the Willy, Hilly, and Chilly foundation to run a pay-to-play scheme...!

Trump is doing the right thing - but only because the dumbocrats can't accept that someone might do it properly - even when they can't!

Democrats always want more, without having to give more.

The Trumps should not dissolve their Charities or quit raising money for them until Bill, Hillary and Chelsey dissolves the Clinton Foundation that is money used to support themselves and their "high society" life style. The DumbocRATs want to close down all Trump family charities then they have to demand the same from the Clintons.

Dissolving the charity before being sworn in is the equivalent of flushing the drugs down the toilet before the police break down your door.

Liberal Democrats will always be impossible to placate. It's their primary agenda.

Quit trying, ignore them. They won't go away. Just consider them the noise a train makes while it goes by. You can't stop it, just wait a while and it will quiet down after passing.

Information is incorrect. You are the reason I voted for him. I'm tired of radicals forcing me to do what they want me to do. Your comment is factually incorrect and your repeating CNN fake news with proven fake polls... trump could be the worst or the best but at least he said something real.
