MSP Warns Of Phone Scam
Cell Phone Scam...Be advised that MSP and surrounding local agencies are receiving numerous calls in reference to threatening text messages. The text messages are coming from "isigman@conejousd.org". The message is as follows: "I've been paid to kill you but wish to spare you. Inform the police or anyone else you die. To be spared, contact vsdky@hotmail.com immediately via email". DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS TEXT! The scam is being being investigated by local police agencies.

I also got this message and I am from Florida. Should I contact my local law enforcements?
Yeah, I got it too. Just delete and go about your business. It couldn't be a more obvious scam. If you take the bait and email them like they tell you to, then they have you on the hook, as they know you are gullible enough to respond. Then they will tell you more lies and threats via a one-on-one email conversation until you transfer money to them. And some dirtbag in Somalia, or Russia, will become a millionaire, if just one in a thousand takes the bait. This message was sent to millions of phones around the world (or maybe just Verizon customers, as Verizon doesn't give their customers any way to block spam).
I live in Baltimore City and revived this text at 3:24am this morning
I just received this message at 4 am today. :( obvious scam but not a nice way to wake up.
I received it at 3:31 am in Severn, Maryland.
