GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (NEWS10) – A federal court ruled that police can shoot a dog if it moves or barks when an officer enters a home.
The decision stems from an incident in Battle Creek, Michigan where, according to court documents, police shot and killed a dog while executing a search warrant on a home looking for drugs.
Mark and Cheryl Brown filed a petition with the court to hold the officers and the city responsible for the deaths of their dogs in 2013.
They said that the officers “unlawfully seized their property in violation of the Fourth Amendment when officers shot and killed two dogs while executing a search warrant.”

That has got to be one of the most obscene, anti 4th amendment rulings ever. This is how our rights are taken. Slowly and quietly thru ridiculous rulings like this one.
Really??? My dog has free roam in his/our home and he loves company, he is going to run/jump, bark, move if someone is at the door or enters his home and that's what I expect him to do. According to this ruling, to be safe from having your dog shot, he/she would have to be a "stuffed animal."
Hey dog...Don't move a mussel. Bang Bang.
If my dogs were to be shot by anyone, be assured I will shoot them, including any cop. My dogs live here, they do not.
Eye for an eye ... Try it
Give me a flipping break. So a dog is supposed to protect the house and just cause a cop walks in the house then shoots him. What if a cop goes to the wrong house. Un flipping believable. I bet the judge isn't a animal lover.
The Keystone Kops raid the WRONG house, shoot the dogs, and beat (or kill) anyone in the house who might resist or protest.
Because they wear a badge, its all okay.
Keep ALL of your guns loaded. Within reach. Packed with armor penetrating ammo.
Equality under the law. Or something like that.
This is an anti cop Judge. The Judge is trying to get people to hate cops.
9:17..... he thinks it's because of a JUDGE that some people don't like the police?
Judges?
It's been a while since I've heard of any judges shooting a kid because he was afraid of a BB gun. Or face-planting an old lady into the pavement for saying (SAYING!) something he didn't like. Or gang beating a drunk kid (and letting a police dog bite his face and neck) for SAYING something they didn't like (PRISON for you or I, NOTHING for the cops).
Or shooting someone IN THE BACK. Or shooting a gas canister at the head (and hitting him) of a Marine veteran merely standing in a crowd. Or lining up kids in handcuffs, then walking up and down the line spraying mace into their faces. Or standing on the roof of a car and jumping with full force onto someone's chest (police call that "the monkey stomp"). The guy (you guessed it) was already in handcuffs.
How much time do ya got, 'cause the list is pretty long.
None of it has to do with "judges".
Keep cheering.
