Another round of drawbridge work scheduled for Nov. 16

Fresh off a bit of routine maintenance of the Kelley bridge last month, the State Highway Administration will once again be working on the Route 50 drawbridge on Nov. 16.

The work is scheduled to be performed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., and will require an indeterminate number of extra openings and closings of the bridge apparatus between those hours.

The additional openings of the bridge are not expected to exceed the time it usually takes to open or close the bridge.

In reality, if you really need to be stuck because of the bridge, West OC is preferable. Outside of laying on the beach, the Town doesn't offer much on the East end.
