Taking a stand against Gray Thursday: List of retailers who’ll close for Thanksgiving

While certain retailers are going to open even earlier on Thanksgiving this year, other stores are taking the day off entirely. Even more surprising, some stores will close their doors on Black Friday, opting to allow their employees and customers to enjoy the holiday weekend with their friends and families.

Towards the end of September, we were the first website to report that GameStop, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco, BJ’s, Nordstrom, Jo-Ann, and Patagonia would be closed on Thanksgiving. Since that report, we have confirmed over 40 additional closures.

Please see our ongoing list of Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2016 closures below.

Sorry...why do we care? Isn't this still a matter of choice? Citizens and businesses still have free will or has Hillary already taken that?

Thank you, retailers. Your closing in appreciation that this is one day of the year that should be spent at home with family is a fine gesture.

It's obvious you have never been inconvenienced with a retail job our you wouldn't feel this way. We should care because this is the beginning of CEOs caring about their employees who deserve to spend time with families instead of with people, like you, who could careless about those people.

I don't shop on those holidays just for this reason. Now I have a list of businesses I will go to the other 362 days a year. Your money is power, your money IS free speech and these retailers have heard it in their pocketbooks and now they will do something.
On the same topic an NFL player recently went out with a MLK quote on his shirt. It read, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.". So if you shop at Walmart, not only are you contributing to the downfall of America, you are reaping the benefits of slave labor. If you wouldn't financially promote slavery in America why do you promote it in other countries?

We should care because morals, family values and traditions are going extinct. People need these things they don't need more days to shop. Yes they can open if they so choose but they workers shouldn't be held responsible for covering the shifts have the Corp p people our the owners and their families work. The morals and values, traditions and history is being ripped apart and destroyed. And everyone wonders why youth is so out of control.
