The Delaware Fire Marshal’s office says a fire at Ed’s Chicken and Crabs on Route 1 caused $75,000 in damages.
The fire occurred at 2:05 a.m.when a car crashed into the building. The Fire Marshal’s Office says there were no injuries and no one was in the building at the time of the fire. Warren Jones, spokesman for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Company, the main unit at the scene, said the car was unoccupied when it crashed.
Dewey resident Rob Jones, co-owner of Delaware Jet Ski Fishing, lives next door to Ed’s. He said was awakened when he heard the crash.

On the way to his crash, he passed a dozen cars full of stoners who were doing 15 mph in a 30.
The video made it look like a missile hit the restaurant.
