I'm not sure if Sheriff Lewis is trying to help a sinking ship, or what. However, loyalty and remembering where you came from is not something Sheriff Mike Lewis has much respect for.
You see, WBOC, WMDT and the Daily Times NEVER covered police reports unless it was a murder or rape. Salisbury News was the only source you could go to in order to find out where we stood with crime on the Shore.
While I'm glad to see we have forced everyone's hand on crime and they are now publishing quite a bit of it, Mike seems to have forgotten just who got him all this attention.
So if you see a story on WBOC that we haven't published, well, it's because Sheriff Mike Lewis found that he enjoys working with female reporters more so than he likes working with us.
Love me or hate me Mike, I have far more local traffic. Mind you, I don't have boobs or blonde hair but it is what it is. Until that reporter relocates, it might be slim pickin's for a little while when it comes to the Sheriff's Department.
A FRIEND WROTE: It's been over a week since their last press release. They don't even post the most wanted now. They post a link from WBOC about the most wanted. Funny how you always used to post the most wanted as soon as they posted them on Facebook or a press release. Now there is nothing. If you don't have Facebook you are SOL because you wont see it posted.

I absolutely, positively hate local politics. This is to the point of being ridiculous. Mike Lewis you suck at what you do, and so you do City Chief of Police Duncan. No sense in being so d**n stupid with the press release stuff. We live in this town and county and deserve to know what is going on around us without all the lies and bs you want to insert into everything. Just give it to us straight, we can handle it. And leaving Joe out of press. releases is just plain childish.

While I'm not going to publish the hatred comments that are coming through I will say this though.
I am Main Stream Media and even a Judge placed judgment on that many years ago. The fact that I/We spend full time on a daily basis disseminating information on a daily basis, Joe Albero and Salisbury News are Main Stream Media.
Secondly, I was given a State Press Pass by Governor O'Malley.
Funny how when Law Enforcement NEEDS me, they come running.
As for the "copy and paste", some of you are absolute fools. WBOC, WMDT and the Daily Times publish copy and paste information every single day. One look at the Daily Times where it says "AP", (Associated Press) is copy and paste. The health information and all other broadcasts from outside DelMarVa is copy and paste.
Salisbury News breaks tons of news and information that is original content. I won't even waste my time on those articles that have been extremely important to our area.
The fact that the Sheriff's Office is taking such a route is putting them in a position of a possible lawsuit, not just from me but from other sources as well. Mike Lewis is a big name in Wicomico County but trust me, not that big.
Finally, we are the ONLY news source that publishes our traffic, EVER. The rest of the media refuses to tell what kind of traffic they have because they can no longer compete with us and that's a fact. Love us or hate us, isn't it funny how even you NAY SAYERS are on here every single day trying to but up negative comments. The joke is actually on you.

Will WBOC tell YOU what the "crime rates" have been BEFORE and DURING Mike Lewis? Of course not, no one will. Why, because they mislead you. Crime is way up under Mike Lewis' leadership. No one dare challenge that fact though. So Lewis hand feeds them to keep everything swept under the rug.
Theft and burglary are through the roof. Heroin use is a hundred times higher under his leadership, again, something he cannot deny. There's no glory in no crime.

The sheriff's department is nothing but womanizers. They all try to screw each other's wives. They hit on domestic violence victims. Most court house deputies , especially the bald headed one , flirt all day with the court staff and brag about the things they'd do to them when the women aren't around. It's sickening and disgusting the things they do. And God forbid you speak out about it! You become a target. Our sheriff's department has become as corrupt as the criminals they're there to stop. Mike Lewis needs to be put out of office! And every deputy damn near replaced. Our new Sheriff must not be from the current office or any local jurisdiction. Remember folks. The Sheriff is elected. Can be anyone! They do not have to be prior law enforcement! Maybe it's time a true citizen, one who's never been afforded the opportunity to be above the law and one who can over see the department the way a real citizen would want their deputies to be ran. Want law enforcement to be held accountable by civilians? Then we need a civilian running for sheriff! That's the start!
