Congressman Harris joined forces with Senator Ben Cardin in 2014 to honor Harriet Tubman in the designation of a national park on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park is located in Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot Counties in Maryland. Harriet Tubman was born in Dorchester County, Md., where she spent nearly 30 years as a slave. She escaped slavery in 1849, but returned to the Eastern Shore several times over the course of 10 years to lead hundreds of African Americans to freedom in the North. Known as “Moses” by African-American and white abolitionists, she reportedly never lost a “passenger” on the Underground Railroad. The national historical park in Maryland will trace Tubman’s early life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she was born and later escaped from slavery to become one of the leaders on the Underground Railroad.

Just what I said yesterday, it would be the black woman, all because it is "Suck up to the Blacks" time in this country.
I have to disagree here - Ms Tubman worked primarily for one segment of Americans while the president she is replacing on our currency worked for ALL Americans!
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but in this case I disagree with this decision. Better people could have been put on that twenty dollar bill.
As a woman, I think it's a great thing. It wouldn't matter who they chose to put on the $20...someone's going to complain.
Robert E. Lee was a role model as well, but he isn't on the Twenty Dollar Bill!

Andy, If the Republican primary goes to a brokered convention in Cleveland and the establishment pushes Trump out the popular vote is going after you next. Every Republican seat will be up for grabs.

I will take the honorable Robert E. Lee over any of those people currently on the currency. I remember his birthday was on every single calendar printed until this country started letting the soft hearted liberal indoctrinate their minds.

She is not the first woman on US currency, Sacagawea was on the gold dollar all the way back in 2000.
