Troopers Investigate Robbery of Laurel Gas Station

Laurel, DE – Troopers are investigating the robbery of a Laurel area gas station that occurred early Friday evening.

The incident occurred approximately 8:10 p.m. Friday November 20, 2015, at the Exxon located at 30341 Sussex Highway as a male subject entered the business and confronted a female employee at the counter. The suspect demanded the cash from the register and the clerk complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of currency. The suspect then fled back out of the front door and left in an unknown type vehicle. The employee was uninjured in the incident and no weapon was observed.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20-27 years of aged, 5'10" - 6'02" tall, 200-230 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words "Delaware Tech" on the front (No further physical or clothing description available). No weapon was displayed.
