Narrative: On 11/20/2015 at 9:27 PM, Troopers from the Berlin Barrack responded to a strong armed robbery at the Wal-Mart on Rt. 50 in Berlin. Troopers made contact with a female victim who informed troopers she was at the Red Box in the entrance of the Wal-Mart when an unknown black male grabbed her purse from her shopping cart and ran into the parking lot. The victim chased the suspect through the parking lot where the suspect got into the passenger side of a teal hatchback passenger car. The victim reached into the vehicle from the driver side and grabbed her purse from the suspect. During the struggle for the purse, the victim was punched in the face by the suspect. The vehicle then fled the scene. The victim told police the vehicle was driven by a heavyset white female, with brownish/dirty blonde hair pulled in a ponytail. The suspect is described as a black male believed to be in the late 30’s to 40’s, tall with a thin build, wearing thick black frame glasses and a baseball style cap. The vehicle is described as a teal blue two door hatchback, possibly a Geo Metro. Anyone with information regarding the identities of the suspects are asked to contact the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack 410-641-3101.

The folks in the "gated community of Berlin" would tell you this sort of crime only occurs in Salisbury.

8:23 Berlin is NOT a gated community so I don't know where you get your information from but if that's all you got, you better stay off the blog sites. In the town limits of Berlin, it does NOT happened. Only in the projects section of Berlin across Rt. 113 does this happen. I could walk downtown Berlin at midnight and be safe. Even Ocean Pines is not longer "gated". Where did you go to school?

9:37 I am not 8:23 but you did notice the phrase was in quotes did you not? I took it to mean the people are living in LaLaLand in Berlin to which I agree. Open air drug markets and the people are oblivious to it. Must be the "redneck" coming out after all Berlin was voted one of the top 10 redneck towns in MD and it's easy to see why.
I disagree with your assessment of Berlin's crime. While violent crime is very low, according to statistics property crimes aren't so uncommon there and I know from the media a lot are committed in the downtown area.
Obviously the quotation marks around the words gated community failed to to tip you off to the fact that it was sarcasm. Must be above your reading level, so sorry to confuse you. Where did you go to school/college/grad school? Sorry, i mean primary, middle, jr high.
