Georgetown, De.-The Delaware State Police honored the graduates during a ceremony for the Citizen’s Police Academy Class of 2015, on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Sussex Emergency Operation Center located at 21911 Rudder Lane, Georgetown, DE. 19947.
The academy class was comprised of six consecutive sessions from October 15, 2015 to November 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday nights of each week.
The academy class learned about a wide variety of police activities consistent with what a Delaware Trooper experiences today. The instruction phase included criminal and traffic investigations, special units, tours, and various other law enforcement related topics. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to ride with patrol troopers. The Academy Class graduated 23 students from Kent and Sussex County.
