Under orders from President Obama, military surplus vehicles were seized from Calhoun County, Alabama Sheriff Larry Amerson Wednesday.
For over 20 years, under the federal government’s 10-33 program, the Defense Department distributed military surplus equipment and vehicles to local law enforcement, such as the Calhoun County sheriff’s department.
However, following the riots in Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore, Maryland, over local law enforcement controversies, President Obama halted the program through an executive order. All vehicles from the program that were deemed too “militaristic looking” were to be confiscated from local law enforcement all over the country.

Mike,
We will help you fight for it....
Mike needs it because he can see over the other vehicles unless he is in a big rig.
Too scary looking. Just like my AR-15 is "scary looking"...even though it's just a little .22 varmint popper.
Syrians need transportation. Guess B.H.O trying to save some tax payers some money for them to start off with. Might as well give then military surplus to start off with. After all he's giving them our country. So what's a few vehicle's compared to the USA ?

bwahahahahaha
really? there is no need for this type of vehicle. yeah alabama always gets tons of snow and the desert down there is really so they have to have it! capable of bogging down a regular 4 wheel drive. total BS!
confiscation seems like a harsh word - did they not return them voluntarily?
I heard they are making a movie about Mike. The working title is "Walking Small".
I knew when I clicked to see the comments what I would find. You all did not disappoint me lol
Saw that thing for the first time today. No need for that whatsoever. This isn't Fallujah. Nothing here can happen to warrant owning that.
