Bad Planning OR On Purpose
This is the scene at the Civic Center in Salisbury. Do NOT let this discourage you. THINK about ALL of the third world countries where people walk miles and sometimes days just to vote. Inconvenient, yes. Impossible or too difficult, absolutely not.

We had to deal with the Craft Show during Early Voting as well.
Hey, it's the DOG SHOW PEOPLE setting up for 5 days of dog shows ($$$$$$$). Life goes on. The road between the CC & it's parking lot is closed to vehicles, not pedestrians. Maybe a DRIVE_THROUGH VOTING arrangement could be arranged...
I moved here in 1985. From at least then until His Lardship, the Earl of Eden was enthroned those going to the Civic Center were able to cross the street on foot, even when the region's largest shopping center (back in the day) was in operation.
Closing Pollitt Parkway is stupid. Hire a crossing guard or two for a couple of bucks and let regular citizens travel while providing for the guests.

Great plan Rick!
On purpose.
When I voted I was told not to touch the gold chip on card. When I handed the card to the man at the door he wiped the chip with a cloth.. Is that OK?
yeah, because democrats will be able to somehow get there easier to vote. its not like you cant get there from any way you come from.
