Peninsula Regional Medical Center Named Among 100 U.S. Hospitals With Great Oncology Programs

We were proud to learn today that Becker’s Hospital Review has named Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury and its Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute among “100 Hospitals and Health Systems With Great Oncology Programs.”

The 100 hospitals were chosen for being on the cutting edge of cancer treatment, prevention and research, and the Becker’s Hospital Review editorial team selected them based on clinical accolades, quality of care and contributions to the field of oncology. Peninsula Regional was one of just four hospitals recognized in Maryland, and the only on the Eastern Shore. The complete list can be found here.

Becker’s says that organizations on this year’s list “are leading the way in terms of quality patient care, cancer outcomes and research.”

I'll bet this will open up another huge thread.

Spending ones life at hospitals being treated for this and that and then sitting in the front row at church on Sunday morning.I can hear it now;"praise the lord for sending me to a doctor who knew what was wrong with me".Whatever happened to God healing a person, all by himself, without human intervention? The bible does not mention hospitals or radiation or any of those things.

So how much did that BS award cost in advertising? This is just like the Metro best of awards.

and how much did it cost to 'buy' the recognition?

I refuse to use PRMC except the emergency depart because you don't have a choice there. I did use the ER and thank God they flew me to another facility.

This is from their own website so you know it's Bullsh!t.

LOL-and the Blue Ribbon school "award" as well, 11:39. For these lists you can nominate a facility. This is true with most lists. The Forbes riches people is one where the people cooperate as well. There are many people with more worth but due to privacy issues refuse to be on the list.

10:51 Yeah ok... Try that out, and get back to us. Science >>>>>> Religion

My only point 12:23 is that either god heals a person or man does, not both.

I find it hard to believe hospitals such as union mem., st. joes., mercy.... to name a few aren't better than pgh.
i seriously question pgh being on there.

I'll go to Johns Hopkins instead. I don't want to die at PRMC!

That's all well and good.
Now they need a MERSA program to cure all the people they infect while treating them for other illness!

10:51/1:08 (I assume same person):

Why is it either/or? Does God not give the gifts, and people use those gifts, to accomplish healing? I think Ben Carson, one of the most gifted men in medicine today or ever, would readily and humbly acknowledge the gifts of healing God has given him. Those who deny this, and smugly look "only to God", also deny Him in the way He chooses to work in the affairs of men. Such ignorance of both God and His truth can only bring harm and more pain, not good.

This is so fake! The nations best 100 hospitals ranked by CNN, AMA, and Newsweek don't ever mention PRMC! The place is a dump, and dirty, full of staff infections and lousy help! Wheeled in alive at the front door, wheeled out dead in the back!
