A Letter To The Editor: Sonic Boom

Navy says they created sonic boom

I sent you an email when I felt my Ocean Pines house rattle.

Now I hear the Navy says it was caused by a sonic boom 3 miles off the coast.

Here’s my problem with that. I need someone to explain why the rattle, boom, or noise clearly hit us from the West.

I know where we were at that time and my wife and I both looked to the west as the source of the disturbance.

It's a conspiracy. There doing something they don't want us to notice. Luckily we have you. Thanks for letting us and then message joe that your not buying it.

A sonic boom is all encapsulating,which means that the sound seems to come from everywhere,depending on location.To others it may have sounded as though it came from the east,north or south.

Answer: Have you ever thought it might be a NAVY hot shot pilot like Top Guns Maverick, out show boating with the nations 30 million dollar aircraft.

Heck - I was young once too - and I would have more than likely broken the rules of engagement dropping below the ceiling at 10,000 feet - 'only for a moment or two' to test the state-of-the-art machinery.

IMHO - that is what has occurred - and you witnessed it. And your complaint sounds just like the EO's in Top Gun - when he said;

"Your pilot did a fly-by by my Tower at over 400 knots and I want some butts and I want it now . . .GDit . . "

THE PILOT WAS OUT JOYRIDING!!!

Hey we live in a materialized nation and we on the Eastern Shore live in between many military bases. Get used to it but, please let us know when they break something.

It was the echo coming from the Poconos

The fact is the Navy at first denied it was from aircraft and said no flights were scheduled at the time of the tremor. Later they said there was flights. So which statement was a lie? Just sayin...

9:55 AM I get it. They lied. The government does it all the time. The problem is that people in this world have limited time to worry about things. So when someone comes on here complaining about a sonic boom it is a waste of time for almost every but the person who reported it. So expect to get sh*t on by people that are well adjusted that view this as a waste of time.

Until you can make people care about YOUR windows "rattling",Oooo mygod, or get them to understand your complaint nobody cares.

Its just fun to mess with the old dude screaming "GET OFF MY LAWN".
