Bills, Bills and More Bills

  • SB 653, sponsored by Senator Astle, proposes to extend the Anne Arundel program whereby any county resident with an outstanding warrant may have his Maryland income tax refund withheld until the warrant is cleared. Warrants in Maryland may be for anything from failure to appear for a traffic violation to a deadly crime. (Items in [brackets] are to be removed from existing law, new language is in CAPS.)

Her highness Hixson has a real winner with the "Restaurant" bill - lots of restaurant jobs will be created, not to mention the opportunity for more fees! Double this with the minimum wage hike & we are in for a real treat. Any representative who votes for this is NOT a friend of restaurants (or the rest of us)!

I would think a disclaimer regarding Food Allergies on the menu would be enough to suffice..
The sufferer should be careful what and where he/she eats.

It is not up to the Nanny State to compel everyone to capitulate to those who know their own health dossier- typical Maryland intellect they want OC to be staffed with Russians and the Owners responsible for the language barrier
