My guess is that 2 Tom Hanks films couldn't be nominated for best picture? Saving Mr Banks was also a great movie.

For a liberal Tom Hanks still wins as actor.
you both are wrong, it will be the Slave movie. Have to win, no choice. Its about racism.
Apollo 13 lost to Braveheart in 1995 for best picture,which was understandable in my opinion.However,because Hanks had won the Oscar for best actor for the 2 consecutive years prior,he was not nominated for Apollo 13.At least that was what the experts surmised.Best actor for 3 straight years would have been unheard of.
