Pope Spends His Birthday With The Homeless
The Pope turned 77 this week, but he didn't want an over-the-top birthday party. Although the Pontiff was given a cake by the children of the Vatican, he chose to celebrate his special day with local homeless people. The Pope's birthday cake was given to him by kids being treated at the Vatican's Pediatric Dispensary of Santa Marta, which treats some of the poorest children in Rome. Then, he invited four homeless men to come to mass, and share a meal with him in Vatican City. One of the four homeless men even brought his dog to the “family-style” breakfast, and the Pope's household staff was invited to join the small celebration. By dining with the sick and the homeless, Pope Francis has once again shocked the world by actually following biblical teachings.

I am not a Christian but I love this new Pope!
Pope Francis has done more for the image of the Catholic Church in one year than anyone else has in the last 40 years. I might even start going back to church!
You Go Pope Francis----show the
world what it should be doing!!!
He truly is demonstrating the "way
Christians " should do for others!
Big Deal! He should have taken a few home with him to live and that would have really meant something.
This pope will bring people together . He is a wonderful person. :)
If he starts to rewrite doctrine of the church beware. Even the elect shall be deceived.
As a Catholic, I'm so proud of Pope Francis. It seems like every week I hear a new story that just further convinces me that he's incredible.
I like this pope.
Adhering directly to doctrine but not re writing it.Getting back to scripture may appear to some like he's changing it because we've never witnessed anyone doing what he does.Truly a great man.
He is South American. South Americans are kinder than Europeans
