Document shows administration has political ploy in arsenalWASHINGTON, D.C. – Evidence has surfaced indicating the Obama administration was prepared to suspend all food-stamp payments beginning Nov. 1 in a political move to pressure Republicans in Congress to reopen the government and agree to continued deficit spending.
On Oct. 11, while the government shutdown was in force, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, FNS, notified state directors of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, SNAP, commonly known as the food stamp program, to suspend transmission of food stamp funds to the Electronic Benefit System, or EBS.
If the Obama administration were willing to issue such a directive in October, will it do so again when the debate over stopping the government and raising the debt ceiling is scheduled to resume in Congress in about three months?
The USDA shutdown letter, dated Oct. 11, first appeared on the website of the Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City and was confirmed as authentic by the Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City in a report published on its website Oct. 14.

Inciting to riot is a distinct crime, the gist of which is that it instigates a breach of the peace, even though the parties might have initially assembled for an innocent purpose. It means using language, signs, or conduct to lead or cause others to engage in conduct that, if completed, becomes a riot.
Conspiracy to riot is also a separate offense. In one case, the leader of a small Marxist group took to the streets preaching revolution and organized resistance to lawful authority. Cursing the police, he spoke about how to fight and kill them and generally advocated violent means to gain political ends. The court ruled that a person who agrees with others to organize a future riot and who commits an Overt Act in conformity with the agreement is guilty, not of riot, but of conspiracy to riot.

the money taken from food stamps should be used to hire police because we all know whats going to happen. when you yank free money from lazy people and they cant sell their food stamps or buy chips and soda, all hell will break out!
Obama tested this a couple of weeks ago when the "system crashed". you heard and saw what happened. this is only a foretaste. get it???
One would think that ending "entitlements" would force people to find work and take responsibility for their families. Quite the contrary. All hell would break out and it would not be pretty.
The rioting would crash the stock markets, business and industry would be frozen and the bodies would pile up.
When you get people addicted to the Government tit like we have there is no easy way to get them off. I think it would take 50 + years to reverse the harm the Democrats have done to our country by enslaving people with handouts.
Cut the food stamps in half , wouldn't hear a word from anyone. They would just have to stop buying lobster, shrimp and booze.
Let's go back to the old days and actually have the FOOD stamps - the ones you had to tear out of a coupon book and people were actually EMBASSARRED to use them!! We are sick and tired of paying for your food, You are responsible for YOURSELF!!!!!!! Go get a job and take care of you and your family!!! It is not our Responsibility (taxpayers) Also, Quit thinking you are entitled to it, cause your not!!! Also, If you want to have a child - pay for that kid yourself and We are tired of paying for yours also!! So, I hope the government does cut back or close down the food stamps - then maybe you will realize you need to work and budget your money like the rest of us!!
