47.6 million Americans are about to have their food stamp benefits cut, and most of them have absolutely no idea that it is about to happen. Needless to say, a lot of them are going to be very angry when they discover that they cannot buy as much food for their families anymore. The reason that this is happening is because a temporary boost to food stamp benefits that was put in during the last recession is expiring. But most of the people that are having their benefits cut will not understand this. Most of them will just be very upset that the government is “taking money away” from them. And considering the “mini-riots” that we witnessed earlier this month when the system that processes food stamp payments went down for a few hours, it is obvious that a lot of food stamp recipients can very easily be pushed over the edge. So what would happen if we have another “debt ceiling crisis” in Washington D.C. early next year and food stamp benefits are temporarily cut off completely?
Wherever “austerity” has been tried in Europe, it has resulted in protests and riots. Could a similar thing happen in this country?
NBC News is reporting that ALL food stamp recipients are going to have their food stamp benefits reduced in November. This is certainly not going to put those living in poverty in a good mood…

Well it's about time but we need to see to it that part 2 gets up and running and that would be the creation of private sector jobs.
On the flip side,grocery stores that were just hanging on will be in serious trouble when the cuts arrive.Everything has adjusted to it over the years.
8:28. Sadly there are consequences to this. But i think if part 2 is put in place then folks will have the jobs to pay for thei groceries.

I receive FS and like I said I would mind a small cut to help out,I also think it should be taxed, and if omama folk don't know that its coming then screw them, they know when to get a cell phone and free rent for life, I am a Republican and fell on some hard times,but plan on paying it back when I can, but I will be Damned if I am staying on it for 10/20/30/40 yrs like the rest of them.
I think there may be an error in this story. I believe the sentence should read:
"The reason that this is happening is because a temporary boost to food stamp benefits that was put in during the last ELECTION CYCLE is expiring."
Now all they have to do is pin this on the republicans.
For some, they'll have decide whether they want to buy drugs or food with that money.
I responded to one of your post yesterday , last night I said a prayer for you and your family. I believe things will turn around for you and your family. hold your head high for you are doing the right thing.
At some point we will all be forced to swallow a bitter pill. Most world governments have been involved in manipulating everything they can get away with for a very long time. Yes these things have consequences.
Hopefully they use their brains (longshot), and take it away from the abusers, and not people who truly need the handout.
Part of the problem I see is people receiving benefits don't know how to prepare thrifty meals (like our mothers, grandmothers and greatgrandmothers depending on your age) would have done. Because they don't know how to cook and meal plan they're dependent on the more expensive packaged goods. Does anyone know if there are classes available for this sort of thing?

Use your eyes 444! Carts filled with crap.You can feed a family of 5 on some chicken parts and a couple cups of flour for a few dollars. Certainly cheaper and more nutritious. I do it every week.
This is BS! Some of us will not make it. Since I was a kid I was given practice forms and taught how to get the check. Now what am I gonna do? They can't do this!
If this is true it's only because Obama wants his peeps to riot and rebel and they will.
