No real fire calls again. Is there really a need for a paid fire crew in Salisbury?

That paid fire crew is doing a FANTASTIC job of preventing fires, aren't they? Keep those guys working like this every day!

No actually it's the smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, automatic fire alarms and the volunteers.

By the way what are you, I mean they doing to prevent all these big fires you speak of?

I would like to point out the fact that the volunteers at station 2 have responded to every call they were dispatched today in such a commendable timely manner. This all done while the paid fireman are sitting at station 16 watching TV all day. Great job Station 2 volunteers. Proof that the calls can be handled without a paid 24 hour crew.

I'm wondering if those moocher firemen came back from their all expense paid vacation to the Windy City yet? Does anyone know how much that cost the tax payers?

1223, push the sarcasm button and then read again.

fire prevention is done by the modern buildings codes, and electrical codes.

Yes at least three of the palace chiefs and a Captain went to the IAFC conference in Chicago at a cost to the taxpayers of $10,000. There is no leadership conference in the universe that would help Hoppes get a clue.

Obviously this is different than any other day, since you are bragging about it. How many times does Truck 2 respond with your "2" drivers, at most?

It says SFD calls for service.Who did they call?

I wonder if you can elaborate with a few names? $10,000 is quite a lot of money during this difficult economy. Joe can you get an FOIA request for the itemized bills? Do you think Ireton would give it to you?
