AN INFORMED ELECTORATE? YOU WON’T BELIEVE HOW LITTLE THESE OBAMA VOTERS KNOW ABOUT OUR GOV’T

A three block line weaved through a quaint neighborhood in South Boston, each person waiting to cast their vote at the polling place inside the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology.  This is an austere, historic and heavily liberal section of Boston (generously assuming there are some non-liberal parts of Boston).  Signs for Elizabeth Warren and buttons proudly proclaiming “Students for Obama” were in abundance.

This reporter called on some of those in line, asking some simple questions concerning why they showed up today to  perform their civic duty.  The answers usually began with a declaration of unwavering support for the president.  So what were the issues that animated them in the campaign?  Their answers were largely couched in generalities, warm pockets of feel-good social “rights” issues, that sounded line-and-verse like Obama campaign talking points.

But the "We need to take back our country" mantra of the loyal opposition was tremendously insightful, right?

to Queensgirl52, where and how were you educated on the founding of our nation? do you acknowledge there is a huge change between what the founders gave us and what we have become? i'm speaking of limited government, life, liberty and the persuit of happiness; that all men are free to make their own way in a free land; to make their own choices and persue what makes them happy; to enjoy the fruits of their labor and not depend on and live off the fruits of others labor.

these are just basic freedoms that were given a moral people by our founders so our nation could be good and strong. this is why we became a nation to be admired; a shining city on a hill. this is why people from all over the world wanted to get to this country to make a new start. we have strayed so far from those truths; i doubt we'll ever get back. i think this is what many of us feel today. our only hope, of course is our faith in a living God. Jesus is the only one who will carry us through what is to come. you may think about these words when changes happen that you just can't seem to handle. those changes will come and come very soon.

And they are college educated? Those idiots shouldn't be allowed to breed.

I would have thought a few of these youngsters would have mention their concerns over four straight years of $1 trillion-plus deficits and a national debt that now exceeds total GDP.

You are correct. Voting for 'love of country' or job creation didn't work for Romney either. But folks like you were quick to vote for 'revenge', free cell phones, and class envy. You have no cause to be smug.

Most of these morons probably think they were born out of a test tube. Trouble is they have no clue of the principles that this country was founded on. The younger generation thinks someone owes them a living and have no idea of what real work is.

I asked 4 different Obama supporters about the money tree and they wanted to know where they could get one.
