WHAT: As the clock ticks down for Congress to extend critical tax credits for wind power, and as Maryland lawmakers look forward to another chance this spring to make offshore wind power a reality for Marylanders, local stakeholders including business leaders and environmental groups will release a new report identifying recent developments that could lead to offshore wind power becoming a reality for Maryland and other coastal states in the near future. The report was prepared by the National Wi ldlife Federation, Environment America Research & Policy Center, and partner organizations, taking a fresh, honest look at how far offshore wind has advanced in Maryland and along the entire Atlantic coast, and the work still to be done.
WHEN: Thursday, September 13, 2012 10:30AM
This report is embargoed until that time. Advance copies are available.

just say NO to wind energy. no more tax dollars to wind or solar.
just say YES to oil and coal now...
What is wrong with wind energy? Can't we use oil and coal AND wind? Wind never runs out. Never spills. Why not??
OFFSHORE wind, NO
LAND BASED wind, YES.
Show me the books on what has been built and what's being produced in profits first, though.
