In the last two days there have been armed attacks on the US embassy in Libya , where US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and 3 of his staff were killed, the Egyptian embassy has also been attacked, and protests against the US have been held outside our embassy in Jakarta.
And now it appears we are responding by dispatching a contingent of 50 Marines to Libya.
I love our military and fully support them, but why are we only sending 50 Marines?

it's being reported now that obama slept through the entire night this took place and of course yesterday he went to the west for a fund raiser and was campaigning. he's played golf many more times than he's attended intelligence briefings. he attended NO briefings 1 week prior to this incident. the cia had NO warning???? WHY????

as a former marine, I feel bad for those guys being sent over. Obama is going to tie their hands I'm betting they are under orders not to shoot when attacked. So they are just going to end up as cannon fodder. Hopefully they disregard the idiots orders and take as many as they can with them. The middle east is burning and obama fiddles!
I don't know a lot about foreign policies or our need to be in these countries but I would send in enough troops to get our citizens out and then cancel all U.S. aid.

I hope it's more than "an" embassy they are going to defend considering at this point in time atleast 4 in the region are under attack.
And you are darn straight people are at Obama's throat. It's well deserved. He was warned repeatedly to not get involved with both the affairs of Egypt and Libya. He was told in no uncertain terms that this would be the result. He didn't listen to advice from experts in this field. The only "for shame" goes to Obama who while this man's body was being dragged through the streets was out campaigning.

How many times was GW warned about a 9/11 type incident happening before it happened? The towers were hit, thousands of people were dying, while he was out reading books to kids. For shame!

3:18. Obama was specifically and told in no uncertain terms that the supposed rebels were islamic militants. These results that have happened were told were guaranteed to happen. He was given specifics unlike the 9/11 broad warnins.
After the overthrows Obama came to the realization and reluctanly admitted that yes the Muslim Brotherhood was suspect. When he realized this embassy security should have been made an immediate priority within his administration. Not only Obama but Hillary Clinton dropped the ball. In their way of thinking appeasment of these militants was the answer.
