Nonprofit group harvesting fresh produce for needy families

A Prince Frederick nonprofit group is harvesting locally grown produce to stock food banks.
The organization, Farming 4 Hunger, has been gathering produce from area farms with the assistance of volunteers and nonprofit groups.
Bernie Fowler Jr., son of former state senator Bernie Fowler Sr., founded Farming 4 Hunger and is leading the organization’s charge.
The younger Fowler said that, as a home builder, he saw the effect of the economic downturn and was “almost spiritually driven” to do what he could to help out.

Thats great that some will take thier time to do this, but what happens when it goes to food banks? I have been to the Maryland food bank in Salisbury to deliver, and seen the workers going into boxes and eating the donated product.

Could it be 8:22 that some of the volunteers are recipents of the program? I know this does occur. I do concur that it does look bad and the director shouldn't allow workers and volunteers to be seen publically eating or taking out the donated food. Perception can ruin an organization whether merited or not.

I hope this farmer isn't harvesting locally grown produce to stock food banks to feed the ignorant sponge that is going to vote for Obama cause "she got a free phone".

Maybe 9:26 or possibly this will be one of the many food banks the Sponge will hit up in the course of a day and then proceed to sell the boxes of food worth $20-$30 for as little as $5.
It's time we take a stance and stand up to these sponges! We can not allow ourselves to be abused by them anymore. They are dependant on us the tax payers and it's time to let them know who is in charge!
