Poll: Marylanders Split On Gambling Expansion

Voters favor same-sex marriage, in-state tuition for illegals
Maryland voters are split over an expansion of gambling in the state, but most support same-sex marriage and the Dream Act, according to a poll released Wednesday.
The poll, conducted by Gonzales Research & Marketing Strategies, found that 46 percent of Maryland voters said they would vote against an expansion of gambling that would allow table games, round-the-clock operation and a casino in Prince George's County. Nearly 45 percent said they would vote for Question 7 on the November ballot. The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
Note: Survey's margin of error is +/- 3.5 points

I wonder who they're asking?

I don't support same sex marriage - but I don't have an issue with them calling it a union either...as for illegals...they're illegal for a reason - they violated our law(s)...criminals shouldn't get benefits.

I hate illegal citizens! I work in a small office and we have voter registration information available to all who come in. Hispanic illegals come in and won't speak English. But they sure as heck understand it! I offer them the paper work to register and they shrug and shake their heads to let me think they don't understand. I say, Obama? They GRIN and happily take the papers!

So let me get this straight - Jim Ireton can get married in Maryland but he would have to leave the state to play table games with his bride/groom.

I keep hearing all of these "Question 7" ads on the radio - both for and against it. The one thing ALL of these ads have in common is that they don't even state what "Question 7" says! I googled "Question 7" and still haven't found the question. I get what it is in regards to casinos and what not, but at the same time why can't these people (both sides) publish the ACTUAL ballot question? Let people form an opinion base on the question they will see on the ballot because most folks are going to make a decision right in the voting booth and not now.

7:34 - Your ignorance shows. Maryland has offered Casino operators a 10% reduction in THEIR taxes in return for their cooperation in supporting another casino in Mike Miller's district. Just who do you think Maryland to come after to recover the revenue lost by reducing this tax? Maryland taxes have been raised every year since casinos were deemed legal. Do you think that is going to change?
